This set is well worth the great price! The rotary cutter, cuts with such ease! The mini knife with replacement blades, was perfect for cutting button holes; so sharp! The knife has a safety cap that stays on well. I love that it has measurements on both sides of the mat, also having a clear, nice size ruler, great for angles! The clips are a necessity and great to have recieved so many! All in all, a perfect starter set, gift set, or a want set because the price and contents are so nice!

I got this set specifically to have the blue rotary cutter to grab for cutting paper and cardboard so I'd quit using my fabric rotary cutters for that purpose. This set's rotary cutter is a just a little flimsier than my Olfas, but it has been working out GREAT! I also like the quality of the penknife. It fits in my hand nice, holds the blade well and the blade is very sharp. I use the small cutting mat on a turntable for cutting smaller pieces of fabrics and odd angles. The clips and ruler are just as good as any of the other quilt tools in my arsenal. The set is worth the price. I think some of the reviews about the rotary cutter may be from people who aren't as familiar with rotary cutter quirks and I wonder if they know the blade needs to be cleaned and oiled sometimes. I have all the same issues with my Olfas but they are easy fixes. So far I've been happy I took a chance and ordered these. If for some reason the rotary cutter ends up falling apart, I will let you know, but I used it to cut up a bunch of cardboard into squares the other day and I was very grateful to have it to use.
