Bonsaii 8 Sheet High Security Micro Cut Paper Shredder with 4 Gallon Pullout Basket, Credit Cards/Mail/Staples/Clips Shredder for Home Office Use (C206-G)

I bought this because my other shredder died after many years. I wanted to replace it with the same kind but the other brand was a lot more expensive. I found this one and decided to give it a try. So far it is doing a good job. It doesn't take as much as my old one but that saved me half the cost. As long as it last half as long it will be a cost wash. Seems to cut up good as long as you don't try to cut too many sheets at a time. Wastebasket is also smaller but isn't ridiculously small. It also doesn't fill up my outside can when I empty like the old one. All in all good shredder.

I've noticed some negative reviews for this shredder, and I believe many of them are due to IMPROPER USE. This is an inexpensive shredder, so it requires some care to perform well. Although it's advertised to handle 8 pages at a time, you SHOULDN’T push it to its limit. For optimal performance and to avoid jams, I recommend shredding no more than 4 pages at a time. Additionally, this is not an industrial-grade shredder, so it will overheat if you use it continuously for long periods. If it starts to overheat, let the machine rest before continuing. Patience is key with this shredder. Take care of your shredder and your shredder will take care of you.

So far, after a couple of weeks of use, the shredder seems to do its job. The only issue is the bin which gets stuck when trying to pull it out. It takes a few tries. I contacted the company and they asked me to take a video, etc. but I'll see how it goes first. Other than that, it shreds well and is easy to use. The bin capacity is big. I shredded a large amount of docs without having to empty it. It's also very light in weight as compared to my previous shredder that was about 20 years old.

This is a well made shredder, and it’s the perfect size for my home office. There’s no assembly, it’s ready right out of the box. It’s more quiet than my old one, and it makes such small bits that I think it would be impossible to piece the documents back together! It’s fast and I think it’ll last a long time.

Great design. Collection bin is easy to access; emptying it out is very convenient. Gets the shredding job done to satisfaction. Couldn't ask for a better product. So, I encourage you to get one for yourself, you'd love it.

Purchased 9/7/2024 have barely used. Now will not even turn on. Bad product!!

I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with this company. Was told it was a motherboard failure but because it’s barely out of warranty they won’t replace it. So if you are looking to purchase a shredder go with any other company Don’t buy from Bonsaii. I have reached an agreement with Bonsaii I can now give them a 5 rating
