Q: description didnt say so but is this microwavable?

The box includes instructions for "microwave heating", saying to lay the pack flat on a paper towel or paper plate, and heat for 20 seconds. In the past, I read that they should be microwaved in a container with water to cover, bringing the water to near-boil .. which is how I still do it.

Q: do they come with covers or sleeves?

Hi Tolivies, Yes they do,i have RA and use them often,they get very cold in the freezer but will become warm after a spell. Be sure to apply a hand towel or some other type of cloth for the first few minutes as they are near frozen solid and one should use some caution being against the skin.They work very good for me.RA causes fever among other things and i am personally greatfull i found these cold packs which can also be used as heat packs as well.Instruction dose come with them so i would say go ahead and get them they are very useful.I hope my experience is helpful for you.

Depending on the temperature setting of your freezer, they normally freeze enough but pliable. If you lay them flat they will freeze that way, but in my experience, still bendable. Nexcare cold packs are thicker and stay cold longer.
