I love how this has actual 3D objects along with the photos of the objects to help understand the relationship between photos and objects. I have kids who haven’t made the connection from icons to actual objects and this is going to be perfect to help them learn. I’m super excited about this and so are the kids! They can’t wait to play with this again tomorrow. The pictures are very clear and colorful and the objects are super cute and fun. They are made very well. Highly recommend!

This set is very nicely made. The 3D items are good quality and offer a variety of styles and textures. The cards are heavyweight and sturdy. There are no included instructions or guide. We have been using the cards and items in our own ways for a variety of activities--vocabulary, imagination, matching, etc. This is a very nice set that looks and feels built to last.

Good tool for learning objects and associating pictures/words with the description and objects. Set contains 16 fruits, 2 of each kind. You get bananas, bread, cookies, corn, oranges, apples, broccoli and carrots. Has life-like realistic looking fruits, and vegetables, both in appearance and texture. Some hard, some soft and pliable, easy to hold in the hands and handle. Set comes with 16 cards with an image of the food on one side and a chart on the back of the other side that tells what the image on the front is along with a log of the program and a way to keep track of their progress in learning what the objects are. You can keep track of their progress in mastering things like 3D to 2D matching, 2D to 2D identical matching, Receptive Labels and Expressive Labels along with the date introduced and the date mastered, where you can write in the date they fully learned what the objects are. This will help with motor skills, learning, language development. even autism. Good for ages 3+. good for motor skills, learning

I guess I should’ve read it more carefully but you don’t get very much for your money. I should’ve taken pictures of a handful of items printed them out.

As a mom of littles and early childhood special educator/ABA provider, I really like this product. It is a nice tool for special educators, ABA therapists, and parents who wish to work with their children at home. ABOUT: -16 3D objects total (8 identical pairs) -16 2D picture cards total (8 identical pairs) -Each pair of picture cards corresponds to a pair of 3D objects -Allows assessment of object-object, object-picture, and picture-picture matching -Back side of cards include space to record data -Picture cards are printed on card stock and appear to have a light laminate coat on the front -3D objects are sturdy and well-made -Although this kit is designed for matching skills, the materials can also be used to assess other skill areas, such as object imitation or pretend play (this is my opinion; it is not advertised that way) LIMITATIONS: -This kit allows assessment of identical matching only, not non-identical matching; additional non-identical matching materials would increase the value of this product, in my opinion -This product is appropriate for assessment purposes but will be less useful for teaching, as it includes limited exemplars -I would not normally comment on the pricing of a product but, because I was asked to rate “value for money”, it seems acceptable to do so. In my opinion, the current list price is steep for what is included in this kit. This price point will be inaccessible for a large portion of the target audience. Teachers and therapists are generally adept at creating their own materials at a much lower cost. -While I understand that this kit is designed to complement a curriculum, I think it would be beneficial to include instructions for consumers who do not have access to that curriculum. Newish teachers/therapists and parents may need more information on how to use these materials. Overall, I think this is a high-quality and useful kit for assessing identical matching skills. I will surely use it professionally and with my own children. However, as much as I like it, I would not purchase it at the current list price. NOTE: I received the common objects kit, not the fruits/vegetable kit that some others reviewed. I cannot speak to the quality or chemical smell of the food kit but there was no chemical smell to the kit I received.

I've been working with this kit on my 5-year old son. I find the kit to be useful in getting him to match up the 3D items to it's pair. We are working up matching the items to the pictures found on the cards. The kit includes 16 foods, 2 of each item. The cards are paired too. The back of the cards offer spots to mark when you began working on pairing, and when each category is mastered. I do wish there were instructions included with this. The food items have a strong chemical odor to them, so let them air out a bit. I like these kinds of kits being available for purchase, although they are rather expensive. These are great kits for those kids that need some extra help in their verbal skills.
