MUSCLE BOOK BY PAUL BLAKEY
I bought an earlier edition of this about 17 years ago while studying massage and A&P. Thought my old copy could do with a rest so am looking forward to using this as a reference. Nice layout with good notes. Very useful book.

Excellent
This book was very crucial for an anatomy exam at university. The images was very detailed with the accompanying text being informative.Without this book I wouldn't have passed the exam!! Thoroughly recommend to any students studying dance in year 2 at university

Not a bad book
This book explains everything clearly with neatly labelled diagrams However it does not include ALL the muscles I was supposed to know for my lab pracs. It just gives you an introduction to the basic muscles of the body. The book itself is not heavy at all so you can carry it around with you; Sometimes on my way to uni I used to go through it on the train. And the price is good too :)

Condition not as described
I was a bit disappointed by the condition of this book as I was expecting used good. It was intact and nothing was actually missing but as a well used ex library book it could only be described as in ‘fair’ condition.

Great resource for physical thetapists and anatomy students
This is a brilliant book - identifying specific muscles and giving excellent information on actions, origin, insertion and also finger pressure points thst you can use to release muscle pain

Indispensable if you want to understand muscles
This book is indispensable if you're learning the connection about the muscles and how they work together with other, related muscles. The book also explains how to fix muscle-related problems. As an aspiring contortionist - this book is an absolute necessity. Highly recommended. One wish to the editor for a next version of this book - if feasible, please include colorful pictures. This is not a necessity - just a nice-to-have feature.

Extremely basic booklet, not a book, not suitable for A&P students
I would disagree with the review which stated“This would be great for any student of anatomy and physiology.“ since the booklet has more of an alternative medicine bent. Possibly useful for yoga or energy work students, but not in an A&P student’s context. It also does not explain the connections it makes in its “Finger First Aid” sections (see photos): why for example would putting specific pressure on either side of the sternum or T5-7 provide relief to the deltoid muscle? It makes some odd suggestions that need more support.Returning the book for a refund is pointless after deducting shipping. And they offer an exchange for some other totally irrelevant products. Ultimately I have chosen to keep it for only those reasons.
