The Ecology Works| Dustmite & Flea Control 32-oz. Spray Bottle

i bought this cause i had a mite problem. not dust but bird. i had birds infesting between the 2 roofs of my house having babies after babies. no one would help me for 2.5 years. good ole state law sucked. finally found someone to help remove the birds nests since the babies finally flew but, in the meantime, the birds mites came through the ceiling, walls, and windows in my bedroom. i was getting eaten alive. found this stuff and figured couldnt hurt to try. well 3 applications later, bites were gone (also washed my bedding stuff in super hot water prior and vacuumed the bed) but it worked..

Works great, BUT the round screw on screw-on section with the vertical lines has a sharp edge along the top and cuts into my hand after spraying for a few minutes. A "band-aid" on the hand is one solution, or wrap tape around the top of the screw on section where it meets the nozzle itself. My point is that no users should have to do that, otherwise so far it is showing to work very well for "nuking mites" :-)

This product works really well. Do have good ventilation and wear a good mask to protect your lungs. It has a very strong, unpleasant smell, and you'll be glad for the mask. But it does work!

My cat has allergies to mold and dust mites (and who knows what else). I bought mattress and pillow covers for the dust mites - wished I'd stopped there, but I also bought this spray. The dust mite reaction (red sores on his head) went away from my simply washing the sheets in hot water rather than warm, so I know that was working. I put on the covers and that was fine. Then I used the spray on the carpets and pillows and duvet and bam, his left ear lost all the hair on the back and a bunch of red sores came out, and FAST. Nothing is really hypoallergenic, from what I read. Anyone can be allergic to anything. I washed the carpets and duvet and removed the pillows and he's healing up. But it really irritates me that this spray CAUSED an allergy.

I see a difference when I don't use it. It's not as expensive as other brands. I spray it on some of my clothes when I've been outside a lot. It dries quickly and doesn't stain.

This spray does not kill immediately but requires weeks to take full effect. After spraying, I was still seeing "bites" on my arms and legs for about a month. The mites are no longer here and I'm not scratching anymore. If you have a large house or apartment, you definitely need to buy more than a few to cover your entire carpet. My studio apt in West Hollywood is about the size of a large garage and 1 bottle almost ran out just from the initial use. Definitely give this a try if you have dust mites. It'll take some time to fully kick in but it works.
