I bought this for my teenage son. He seems to like it. Does what it's supposed to do. No complaints from him.

So I didn't read the description or was just excited it was so cheap on prime day and was surprised when I got the product and it was all in pieces and needed to be put together. It looked overwhelming at first and the 2 qr codes on the box and the SSD itself are not instructions unfortunately. It took a couple minutes to find a good YouTube video that showed all the steps. Ive bought the Samsung ssd's before and you just pop the PS5 back off and screw 2 little screws and just stick the SSD in and your done. When you get it, take the SSD and put it upsidedown on a flat surface. Take the grey/silver piece and peel one side of the tape off and stick it to the SSD. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ENOUGH ROOM ON THE SIDE THAT GOES INTO PS5! PUT THE STICKY THING ONLY UP TO THE ELBOW OTHERWISE IT WONT GO IN THE PS5 FAR ENOUGH AND IT WONT GET READ BY PS5. Take the other side and peel off the tape thing now and then put it sticky side down in the bottom part of the metal housing. Then put the white stick strip on the top of the SSD the same way you did the bottom and then slide the metal top on and your good. Press down on the top so it sticks to the white tape thing otherwise the metal housing will slide back and forth. Once again make sure the side that goes into PS5 is sticking out enough because It won't go in the PlayStation far enough and you won't be able to get the screw back in. You should have one extra of each of the sticky strips and they give you a spare screw but I just use the ones that come in the PlayStation. If you have the slim one, that washer/ring thing that was with the second screw, rests under the SSD and the SSD kind of just lays on it.Then the screw goes through the insert of the SSD into the washer so it fits right. Turn the PlayStation on and format it and you're good!

The real number I'm looking for is write speed. All of the other numbers are mostly fluff read speeds which make an NVMe drive seem better than it really is. Case in point, I purchased a Kingston Kingston NV2 250G M.2 2280 NVMe Internal SSD | PCIe 4.0 Gen 4x4 and since I could never really test the speed other than with Crystal Disk Mark AND I only used the default setting of 1Gig/s test file, I thought I was getting the full speed all along. Since all of my drives were SATA, that was the fastest I could see.That was until I purchased the Fikwot FN960 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 1.4. Then I had something to transfer to and from. And right away, I noticed there was a problem somewhere, and it was the Kingston drive. After the buffer filled up, the speed dropped to SATA speed. I tested the Kingston with a 32gig test file with Crystal Disk Mark and confirmed the problem.Be sure you to test with a large file when using Crystal Disk Mark if you want to see the real world transfer tests. It takes a lot longer, but it is worth the time. In my case, I think I will leave the Kingston in place for my Boot drive since the read speed is 3Gig/s and the only time I need to write large files to it is when I'm restoring a backup.As far as the Fikwot FN960 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 1.4 drive, I am getting full read and write speeds, approximately 3.5Gig/s, which is excellent considering my PC is a 2015 I7-7700K and PCIe Gen 3X4. I'm sure if this was a newer PC it would have even better results. It does run a bit hot and currently I am running it without a Heatsink, but I'm using this drive mainly for backups and storage, so it will mostly be idle. I have 7 drives and this is the hottest one at 49c deg in idle mode. My other NVMe is running at 28c deg, so that is a bit concerning.Anyway, normally I would highly recommend a brand name like Samsung if you can afford it, but I took a gamble since this is really for storage, so I'm satisfied. I had also just purchased a TEAM 256GB C212 Extreme Speed USB 3.2 Gen2 Flash Drive. My computer only supports USB 3.0 and transferring from the Fikwot NVMe to the Teamgroup USB runs at about 300MB/s, which is 10 TIMES the speed I was getting with my USB 3.0 transferring from an SATA drive.

It’s quality and has worked with no issues in my PS5 for a couple months now, my only issue was installing it, I had to YouTube instructions. Would be nice if it came with some but you can find walkthroughs online.

Easy to install and the price was amazing compared to some of the other ssds.

J'étais à la recherche d'une mémoire SSD supplémentaire pour PC comme disque de débordement pour les fichiers de programme (le C : se remplissait). Ce disque NVEM correspondait parfaitement à l'emplacement M2 libre de ma carte mère Maximus Hero VIII, et a été instantanément reconnu sous Windows (après avoir utilisé Disk Management). Il aurait été bon d'avoir des instructions sur la façon d'assembler l'unité de refroidissement, mais il y a de nombreux sites en ligne qui expliquent cela. Dans mon cas, le disque (2 Tb) n'a jamais dépassé les 44°C, je ne suis donc pas sûr qu'un refroidissement soit nécessaire. Pour montage, heureusement, le tournevis fourni est magnétisé. La vitesse est excellente - je ne suis pas un expert, mais les chiffres des utilisateurs ici varient, et je pense que cela est dû à d'autres matériels. Le prix est décent - pas aussi bas que ce que l'on peut trouver sur un certain site concurrent, mais ces NVMEs sont pour la plupart des faux (comme je l'ai découvert).
