Medelco 12-Cup Glass Stovetop Whistling Kettle

I'm almost glad I broke my old kettle as this one is way better.It wasn't very well packed but still arrived at my workplace in one piece. It then survived being in my bicycle basket on the way home.Seems quite sturdy and strong.And it arrived early.Happy customer.

Very impressed with this product. Nice to be able to see how much water is left in the kettle each time and robust handle design. Two things to be cautious about, the first is do not fill when cold water when the glass is hot (this is standard with any hot glass kitchen container) and secondly it can scale up in a hard water area but it is easy to descale with a solution of vinegar and water which can be left in the kettle overnight leaving a clear glass kettle again the following day.

Kettle is good to use. You need to be more careful when handling because it is glass. Only issue I have found there is a frequent build up of limescale that cause the glass to look cloudy and unsightly. I have put a descaler in the kettle but it does not seem to make a difference. Nice to have a traditional whistling kettle.

good quality with stainless steel strip around the neck. I do need to clean it after every use otherwise the scale does build up.

I love this! Have been using it for almost 2 years now.. Had a mishap at first, but item was replaced immediately. Recommended.

Easy to keep clean and boils quite quickly on a gas stove. So much simpler than an electric kettle and (unless I break it) it can't fail or pop a fuse.

Fantastic and sturdy glass kettle. Mine is still going strong after constant use over several months. Great way to avoid exposure to heavy metals and chemicals from electric kettles!
