Love all the Eagles music.
These are the original Eagles. Great banjo playing. Little bit country. Of course some of their famous songs also. Love it.

Excellent pressing ... if you get the good one
This review is for the quality of vinyl pressing, not for the album itself. The record that I got is quiet, heavy and has excellent sound. This is one of the quietest record that I have. Generally, the Eagles record sound excellent. I have both greatest hits, Hotel California, On the Border, Desperado and Hell Freezes Over. They all sounds wonderful. However, this is the second Desperado that I got from Amazon. The first one clicked and crackled as soon as the first song was playing. Luckily, I made the right decision to request for a replacement and Amazon has been very generous about it. So, if you like the Eagles, I would highly recommend the album. Greatest hits is great, but listening to a whole album gives a better representation of the band in general. This one is no exception.

LP is Made in Argentina
I was not expecting this to be an Argentinian pressing. Sound is not bad, not great either (it's a little noisy). Music, on the other hand, it's amazing.

The best Eagles Album
I know the Eagles are noted for going away from Country Rock in the albums after this. What makes this album a masterpiece is that the songs make you feel what the Doolin and Dalton gang felt. Songs are all well done and fit the theme. They did not make another album as cohesive as this in the Country Rock vein. This may be the greatest Country concept album of all time.

best of the eagles
i was working as a dj when this lp was released. a friend bought it and brought it to the station. i auditioned some of it and was just blown away. i had enjoyed the eagles early singles but the album wasn't that hot--actually i bought it and sold it to another guy. "desperado" was a whole other level of writing words and music plus it made a great "theme" album. asylum records hated the thing. "tequila sunrise" was released as a single and didn't do much--sad because it's a great song. the album was mostly treated as a bust by am radio which ruled then. as for me i bought it and wore out a few copies. was thinking about it the other night and could not find my copy so ordered this one. this is a 40 year old cd friends--and it still sounds great. think any of this crap on the radio now will be getting listening time and considered "great" 40 years later--yeah, justin you just count on that for your retirement income. you want great words--"she passes her time at another man's side and i pass the time with my pride". i get that and if you're anywhere near my age so do you.
