R-002: Multi Charger Cable Cable
R-002: Multi Charger Cable Cable: £9.99: This cable is an amazing idea and I like it a lot. I have a Samsung S20 phone that uses USB-C but also have a power pack that still uses USB-A, so this cable was perfect for me. We are currently in a world where USB-A has not been replaced as yet and USB-C has not fully become the standard. (and goodness knows what happened to USB-B?) There has been many times I have brought the wrong connector with me when out on a road trip so the thing I like most here is that you have a USB-C on one end and a USB-C /USB-A on the other end. I tested this product out and it worked, all fine. There are also two other connectors that relate to other types of products (Huawei, Nokia, LG, Sony, Kindle, PS5) but as I don't have any of those, I cannot comment on those parts of the cable. The cable is approx. 120cm long. My only negative (and is why I gave it 4 stars) is that when the USB-A head opens up to reveal the USB-C, it only has a small amount of attachment wire, which means you cannot move the USB-A head far out of the way. This caused a problem for me when using my phone with it because my phone is in a protective case and the USB-A head was getting in the way, hitting the case, not allowing the USB-C to insert fully. Of course, if you don't have a phone case, then you are fine. But it is not practical for me to take my phone out of this case each time I wish to charge it. All is needed to bring this up to 5 starts was another couple of cm on that small piece of wire that the USB-A head is attached to, which would allow it to be moved out of the way completely. Priced at £9.99 at the time of this review, I would rate this item as fair value for money.
