Great for bantams!!!
I have 8 bantams and it hasn't been knocked over once. The younger ones jump on it but i put a short perch on one side so they can stand on and reach. This is so amazing because i no longer have spilled food, its deep enough to layer their foods, everyone's heads fit, even my polish bantams crowns. They love it and its so simple to clean. Everyone should give this a try. For bigger breeds just find a way to strap it down with velcro or something, its worth the effort.

Small food container
Only use for small animals when they grow up this unit is too small.

Needs Help 😊
First time it was filled & put down the girls & boys dumped it over. They ran over it & knocked it over. The legs were of no use because they are flimsy. Hubby is going to attach it to something heavy & raise it up to see if that helps. However it is a nice wide feeder & the gang can easily get their heads in for their feed. Will see how it works out after it is revamped.

Works great for chicks who have outgrown lil chick feeders but are not ready for big girl troughs.
Works great for chicks who have outgrown baby chick feeders but are not ready for big girl troughs. They can’t roost on it, or kick/scratch food out or scoop out with beaks. Easy to fill and refill in coop. This one had no rough edges, and I ended up not using the feet down as it was stable enough sitting on the floor, but tall enough that the girls weren’t wreaking wasteful havoc with their crumble.

Spills easily
Poor design. The lid has no latch and the chickens just knock this over and spill their food, leading to a lot of wastage. Do not recommend.

Not Sturdy Enough
I have three pullets right now. I purchased this in the hopes that they would be able to use it for a long, but it's very easy for them to tip over. The legs of it don't support it well at all, so a lot of food gets wasted. Granted, they're chickens, and that's going to happen a little bit anyway, but it just doesn't seem like it's going to last long-term. I know I could build a base or secure it to the coop wall, but I'm just going to look for something that will last longer in general.

Best feeder I've found
I've tried a few different feeders and this is the one I'm using now. It's not perfect, but it does the job better than the others. I like it because it's deep. This makes it harder for the chickens to flip food out on the ground. They still do it, but not as much as with other feeders. I haven't had any trouble with the top coming off. I use a couple of bricks to hold the feeder down so the chickens can't flip it over.

Seems to be designed for regular sized chicken, not bantams -but it is working for what I need
Purchased this for my bantams, as they have the tendency of wasting more food than they eat by throwing food out of a feeder. The feeder seems to be just a bit too tall for the small birds. But is has put a stop to all the waste of food. It's a bit on the flimsy side but I have very very few birds (currently only 2) and the feeder is not outdoors in the weather so I anticipate that it will last a long time for me. It isn't heavy at all. I would recommend, it is a good feeder.
