Experience the breathtaking global phenomenon that has captivated audiences around the world. Written for the screen and directed by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer thrusts audiences into the mind of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy), whose landmark work on the Manhattan Project created the first atomic bomb. An unprecedented cinematic event, Oppenheimer features an all-star cast that includes Emily Blunt, Oscar® winner Matt Damon, Oscar® nominee Robert Downey Jr., Oscar® nominee Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, and Oscar® winners Casey Affleck, Rami Malek and Kenneth Branagh. Review: Worth buying for the special features - Since physical media started to be on the decline, a lot of studios have neglected the special features but this release has a decent amount. It’s no Lord of the Rings special editions or anything with hours and hours of content. But I’ll take what I can get. I just wish it included an audio commentary too. But this is a fantastic movie from 2023 and started a viral barbenheimer movement that year. Christopher Nolan is at his best here. It has great performances and unforgettable music. And for any WWII history buff, this is a no brainer. Especially for the low price. $9.99 seems way more reasonable for a bluray than 20-30 like some others Review: Amazing, important film - We watched this film 3 x in IMAX. We don’t go to the theater twice to see a movie. If we liked it, we wait for streaming. Or even buy the dvd. But watching Oppenheimer in the theater was an EXPERIENCE. Excuse the pun but we were blown away. We pre-ordered this and like kids at Christmas we could hardly wait for its release. And what a dvd it is! There are two discs. The second one is 3 hours of Special Features covering everything they did in making the film. It’s as enthralling as the film! The dvd comes in various formats so you can get a bigger bang (there’s that pun again) for the buck if you have a more sophisticated system. We bought this film on VOD and streaming. Since the end of July until now, in February, we have watched Oppenheimer 6 times. It’s never old. We can quote a bunch of dialogue by heart. Every time we see something new, peel another layer off the story, realize why every element in the film is garnering truckloads of awards. Not just the best film of 2023, but one for the ages. The mega cast is outstanding. Cillian Murphy embodies the man. Nolan’s direction, as usual, is impeccable. The cinematography is extraordinary and the score, that SCORE! is as profound as the screenplay. (We also bought the soundtrack.) Nuclear proliferation, Oppenheimers greatest fear, is as frightening now as it was then. Today we have Putin threatening to use “limited nuclear weapons” against Ukraine and negotiating with North Korea to get military materiel in exchange for nuclear secrets. And Iran is fast approaching nuclear capability. I think this is why audiences are so shaken after watching it. I hope the film is re-released in IMAX after awards season ends. Predictions are that it will win everything. When asked if he was surprised at the great success of his film Nolan said, “Audiences want something new, something different to watch in the theater. Imagine! A 3-hour R-rated movie about quantum physics making a billion dollars!” The now iconic scene between Neils Bohr and young Oppenheimer: “Algebra is like sheet music. It’s not can you read the music, it’s can you HEAR the music. Can you hear the music, Robert?” “Yes. Yes I can.” And that’s the scene that tells the story. If you’ve seen the film in the theater you don’t need my recommendation. If you haven’t seen it, then you’re in for an amazing head trip.

Great picture quality, ok movie
The picture quality on this DVD is outstanding but, even after several viewings, I haven’t figured out what all the hype was about over this movie. It is a decent movie, but I wouldn’t say it is a great movie.

An all-star acting tour de force backed by Nolan’s brilliant directing.
Christopher Nolan’s filmography has been building to this movie. Over decades, Nolan has had gimmicks in his films that make them stand out. Oppenheimer (2023) uses many of them to create a compelling story that’s half scientific discovery and half political drama. That a movie like this—about unleashing the Pandora’s box of nuclear weapons—hadn’t been made like this before is perhaps the more impressive feat. The way Nolan weaves the two halves of the story together is masterful. However, the actors definitely do a lot of heavy lifting here. It took me a second viewing to piece together that the black-and-white segments followed Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.) while the color segments focused on J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy). This visual stylization hearkened back to the way Nolan made Memento (2000) unique. The shifted timelines between the black-and-white/color segments evoked Dunkirk (2017)., I’m just glad that I could actually understand what everyone was saying, unlike in Tenet (2020). Ultimately, the way Nolan films his movies with practical effects adds a layer of realism that can’t be faked. The emotional realization of what they had just released on the world still gives me chills. Of course, the style and way a movie looks can only take it so far toward greatness. The actors in Oppenheimer all turned in excellent performances. It would surprise me if Robert Downey Jr. and Cillian Murphy didn’t receive nominations for acting Oscars when awards season hits. Similarly, Emily Blunt and Florence Pugh helped to showcase the scientist’s womanizing tendencies. Even the minor characters like Niels Bohr (Kenneth Branagh), General Groves (Matt Damon), and Ernest Lawrence (Josh Hartnett) were portrayed to their fullest. Overall, Oppenheimer is a timeless film that builds upon Christopher Nolan’s already successful cinematic career. An all-star acting tour de force backed by Nolan’s brilliant directing, I give Oppenheimer 5.0 stars out of 5.

The Mere Beginning of, "The Story of Our Time"
I want to emphasize that the quality of this picture is first-rate throughout. I additionally wish to declare that a dramatization of the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer in and of itself, is not equivalent to "The [Entire] Story of Our Time," however - the phrase of which is associated with one of the bonus features included with this purchase. "The [Elaborate] Story of Our Time", involves the existence of one sub-Rosa transnational Fourth Reich Deep National Security State Illegal Secret Government, of which has been disclosed by numerous individuals. I believe it is prudent to express how each one of us, as sentient manifestations in consciousness, plays an imperative role within establishing a collective framework of what people recognize and / or experience, as reality. The following statements are attributed to the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and the International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL): "Inspired by a profound experience of personal discovery, Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell created IONS in 1973 to explore the interplay between scientific knowledge and inner knowing. Today, IONS has the world’s largest team of multidisciplinary scientists conducting research on frontier topics in consciousness and its impact in our lives." "The International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL) is a consortium of individuals from all walks of life, united within a shared passion: understanding consciousness for a better tomorrow." STAR, LLC has implemented various copyrighted research, including a comprehensive explanation of reality, within their 8-slide presentation, "Cosmos: The Holographic Conscious Universe". Author Paola Leopizzi Harris first released the relevant publication, "Trinity: The Best-Kept Secret – Meticulous Research Reveals How 'Alien' Technology Has Been Concealed" with coauthor Jacques F. Vallée in 2021, the title of which correlates with the founding atomic weapon test, in the Tularosa Basin of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico on July 16, 1945, disclosed within this film. J. Robert Oppenheimer's attributed citation of the phrase, "Now I am become Death, The Destroyer of Worlds." from the Bhagavad Gita in 1945, is critical. Earth has experienced steadily increased interest from enlightened extraterrestrial civilizations since the time of the Trinity test, due to the destructive nature nuclear weapons invoke upon higher dimensionality within a veiled construct of quantum physics – the reality of which has been withheld by rogue operatives within a transnational Military Industrial Complex, intent on maintaining an archaic petrodollar-based geopolitical structure, that has brought our civilization and planet towards the brink of biosphere collapse within unnecessary climate and energy crises and various other atrocities. For this reason, authentic Extraterrestrial Vehicles (ETVs) have shown interest at times around incorporated nuclear weapons facilities; yet in no way, do these visitors pose as "threat(s)"! It is therefore important to learn to recognize the need to incorporate acute discernment, in our naivety… we cannot necessarily trust corporate mainstream media outlets, because of Intelligence Community infiltration. In truth, a psychological warfare program was unleashed in the late 1940s / early 1950s, based upon the corrupt desires of the Military Industrial Complex, against enlightened extraterrestrial civilizations; this is why almost all "national security" interests / corporate mainstream media representations of extraterrestrials have and continue to condition homo sapiens (humanity, who share 98.8% of DNA with chimpanzees, who are known to form groups in warring against one another) to "fear the unknown" / all things "alien" within what is referred to as deceptive Indication & Warning(s) {I & W [False Flag (Military terminology)]} scenarios. Transcendental meditation, as utilized within various pursuits including but not limited to prayer, utilizes higher capacities of the sentient mind, which have historically been miscategorized as the stuff of science fiction, or that of which may merely be available to a few gifted "psychics". Please witness the following, eluding to the reality of quantum physics: "When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love… If you desire with all your heart, friendship with every race on earth, your thought, spiritual and positive, will spread; it will become the desire of others, growing stronger and stronger, until it reaches the minds of all men…" Excerpted from the compilation "Paris Talks"; "The Pitiful Causes of War, and the Duty of Everyone to Strive for Peace" – 'Abdu'l-Bahá, October 21st, 1911 Additional resources include but are not limited to the following: Secrets of Power, Volume I - The Individual Empowerment vs. The Societal Panorama of Power and Depowerment, by Ingo Swann Secrets of Power, Volume II - The Vitalizing of Individual Powers, by Ingo Swann Phenomena - The Secret History of the U.
