Fun Ghostly Ship-Halloween Build
This version of The Flying Dutchman was a lot of fun. I love the color scheme and the lights. There were no missing pieces. Instructions are easy enough to follow. Some of these sets require a little more pressure to put pieces together than Lego sets but they are still easy. I would suggest holding the base in your hand and supporting both sides. Start off with just a little pressure and gently press it together. You build up the sides of the ship and the base is not real wide so you don’t want to topple it while working on one side. It sits just fine for displaying though once finished. The lights are really cool. They are connected with tiny wires and connectors plugged into a small board. I was extra careful because had not done one with lights before but it was simple and turned out great. You store the board and wires inside the cabin area and it plugs in by usb. It’s stable when moving it once finished and for what I paid it was a great price.I just finished another ship set from this same company that had over 3,000 pieces and all pieces were there on that one too. It was also fun. So, so far, this company gets an A+ in my opinion.

Awesome pirate ship!
This took a few days to put together because there are lots of small parts, but the end result was worth it! It did come with green lights, however, I unintentionally nicked the wire when trying to place them. So I used some other green lights I had. I added a couple of figures of my own to add to the look. Love it and looks great!

Great Finished Product - Frustrating to Get There
Finished this yesterday and couldn't be happier to have the build done. It looks wonderful and the lighting is really cool. That being said, I felt like there was a constant battle when attaching different segments to the main part that something else was going to fall off. I found myself keeping a little box of repeat offender segments to attach them at the end. It would have been nice if they were more securely worked into the main ship base section to not have to go back. The sticker section of the instructions at the end had you take decorative pieces off in order to put the stickers back on, would have just prefer to have been prompted to put the stickers on in the first place prior to putting the little seaweed bits on, take them off, and put them back on. Finally, the very last thing you do is the sails. I didn't realize it until the very end, but since they were kind of crumpled in a ziploc bag, there were very hard creases from being loose in the box, likely. I get the appeal of this is that the sails are tattered, but it doesn't make the sails look tattered, just bad. I recommend taking those out first thing and pressing them in a book or something; otherwise, I thought a very simple solution would be to have them from the get-go just taped into two pieces of cardboard in the box rather than loose in the ziploc bag.But again, the set looks great - just make sure to keep it away from pets, children, or drafts, lest a piece of it come unattached again. A few adjustments to the order of the instructions, minor adjustments to the build itself, and a simple fix to the sail packaging would have definitely made this one five stars for me.

Good Look, Poor Build Design
Gave this to my husband as an early xmas gift because he is a lego nerd and though we both recognize that this is not an official lego set, it was a royal pain in the arse to put together and the quality of the parts was very lack luster. A lack of anchor points for the cannons, lighting, and string rigging paired with parts that were either too weak and fell apart or so strong they took literal vice grips to put together, it was a mix of love and hatred when building this model. The thought that went into the wiring for the lighting could have also done with some more work as the extremely limited space to run the wiring made it difficult to work with. All in all, for $80 normal price (I got mine on sale for Cyber Monday) I would expect a little better quality and a higher standard for QA

Cool
I bought this for my adult son for Christmas. It comes with a lot of pieces and it definitely keeps him busy and keeps him at home and out of trouble and it’s a nice piece.
