Pretty
Not being a Korn fan as such I bought this for 2 reasons: I heard 'Got the Life' on the radio and saw the album artwork. I was a big fan of Tod McFarlane back then and the radio single just got me immediately and I thought, what the hey? I made a very good decision.The first 12 tracks are seconds each of nothing, in a humourous attempt to mess with our minds, albeit in a very Type O Negative kind of a way (pointless, but kind of fun). 'It's On' heralds the album with a fanfare. It's heavy, hook-laden and bombastic. And utterly brilliant. Then comes the even betterer 'Freak On A Leash'. It's a classic of theirs by now (2011), as is 'Got the Life'. Both 5 star tracks indeed. And made for radio play. 'Dead Bodies...' is a great track but not reaching the heights of the 2 preceding tracks. 'Children of the Korn' is more fun than anything else. It's a strange hybrid of hip-hop and metal, but more metal than anything else, and it's quite dark. 'BBK' is my favourite track. It's just tonally perfect and has the best pay-off chorus ever. 'Pretty' s ok. Not bad. Not great.'All in the family' is another rap/hop/metal deely. Again it's good and it is more rap n b than metal. 'Reclaim my PLace' is pretty good, a straight up Korn song. 'Justin' is excellent with a very twisted chorus. And 'Seed' needs to be given time to blossom but it is ultimately spot on. 'Cameltosis' is the best of the rap tracks as it's actually the best marriage between the 2 genres and is a much better song. 'My Gift to you' is a very goog closer but has an eternity of silence at the end and a 'hidden track'. Hidden tracks are usually better of staying hidden or being given their own place on the track listing.A truly mammoth album that will always be one of my favourites. I have never been enamoured to collect any of their other albums for some reason, but I am happy that I at least own this.

Bliss
Back in the day when music had gone stale koRn released this masterpiece. Still sounds fresh and different against today's music showing that only koRn can do what koRn do.This album is full of great music, not only catchy songs but the production is spot on, the individual band members execute perfectly. The vocals are great, the drums are subtle but suit the mood perfectly, the bass, well, it's amazing, and the guitar work is eerie yet intricate at points.To sum it up. I love this album.

Wunderbar mit wenigen Schwächen.
Follow The Leader war mein zweites Korn Album, Life Is Peachy habe ich erst kurz danach gehört.Was soll man zu dem Album sagen?Es geht einen ganz schön großen Schritt weiter und baut den kranken Ursprungssound massiv aus:Deutlich abwechslungsreichere Songs, die in alle Richtungen ausgebessert und optimiert werden.Mit einer massiven, durckvollen und gleichzeitig sehr aufgeräumten Produktion und Mischung werden in beinahe jedem Song Akzente gesetzt. Neu sind auch die Rap Einflüsse, mit Gästen der Marke Ice Cube und Fred Durst (der zum Song passt, aber nicht an einen Ice Cube heranreicht, natürlich).Die Lyrics sind sehr sehr zynisch und im gesamten immer noch im Spektrum der Vorgänger angesiedelt.Der ein oder andere eher durchschnittliche Song (BBK) verhindert, volle 5 Sterne zu geben. Jeder Musikoffene, der einer Mischung aus Hardcore, groovigen Metalparts in nahezu Perfektion hören will, MUSS dieses Album zumindest gehört haben.

A mi parecer el mejor disco que ha sacado la banda en su carrera, no han igualado el sonido ni las letras que este tuvo y con el se dieron a conocer en muchas partes del mundo cuando se atrevieron a dar más promoción del mismo.Temas como "Freak On A Leash" y "Got The Life" aún siguen sonando como si fueran éxitos de la actualidad.Si disfrutas el Nu Metal es infaltable no tenerlo.

Follow The Leader è il terzo album dei korn...L'album inizia a suonare alla 13esima canzone......le prime 12 tracce da 5 secondi l'una formano un minuto di silenzio in onore di Justin.Davvero un capolavoro questo album che risulta meno asfittico e più ragionato dei precedenti due lavorie i brani pur permanendo pesanti sono sapientemente sfumati.Ottimo voto 9

One of my favorite sounding records that I own
One of my favorite sounding records that I own! This Music On Vinyl version is way better sounding than the 25th anniversary Red vinyl by Sony. Although this is a bit more expensive ($5 more), it is way worth the money! Highly recommended!

Geniales Album, das beste von Korn
Das zweite Album von Korn ist meiner Meinung nach auch ihr bestes. Zu dieser Zeit waren sie auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Kreativität. Jeder Track ist ein fantastisch genial arrangiertes Musikstück. Jeder Titel hört sich anders an, ohne dass dabei jedoch der typische Korn-Sound verloren geht. Auch positiv, dass sie hier noch mal etwas härter zur Sache gehen, insgesamt haben die alten Stücke mehr Power, mehr Drive als die neueren.Für Fans von knallhartem NuMetal ein Pflichtkauf, aber auch Gelegenheits-Headbanger und Freunde harter, fetter Musik dürfen mal reinhören.

Classico nu-metal
Terzo album per i Korn, nonchè il loro album di maggiore successo commerciale.Trainato da bellissimi singoli (e video) come "Got the life" e "Freak on a leash", i Korn cambiano leggermente sonorità rispetto ai primi due album (un po' più leggeri ed accessibili per un pubblico più ampio), ma il successo è ampiamente meritato.Consigliato!!!

Discazo pero....
Le doy tres estrellas porque no es gatefold y siendo vinilo doble es una pena ya que la ilustración de portada y contra se complementan y sería lo suyo poder abrirla para verla entera. Por otro lado el sonido del vinilo bastante enlatado.

Diese CD ist wie bei den Vorgängern immernoch nicht ganz mein Fall, aber Tracks wie "Freak on a leash" oder "Got the life" gefallen mir richtig gut.

nostalgie quand tu nous tiens...
C'est avec ce "follow the leaders" que j'ai découvert KORN.Et je me souviens avoir étais admiratif de la musique de ce groupe unique dés la premiére écoute.Le groove,le coté trés sombre de leurs musique et cette voie d'écorché vif de mr davis...pffff pour le mome de 17ans que j'étais:quelle claque!!!!Et croyez moi,méme si ici le gang développe davantage son coté hip-hop,ce n'est que pour confirmé son éclectisme musical et montré qu'il y'avait une reléve dérriére les pionniers de la fusion,comme les meilleurs du genre:faith no more,rhcp,the fishbones ou encore ratm.Sincérement,ce disque est géant!!!!Bien qu'il posséde son lot de classiques,tout est à écouter.C'est puissant,prenant et émotionnel."follow the leaders" un titre prétentieux???non!!!!korn à inventé un style en 1994,et quitte à se montré nombriliste,il démontre ici que le leader de la scéne neo-metal c'étais(et ça reste)lui.C'est ce que prouve ce chef d'oeuvre,qui n'a pas pris une ride malgrés ses 15ans d'ages(eh oui déjà).Une bombe!!!!!!!ps:mention spéciale à la pochette,qui est sans doute leurs plus belle!!!!!
