Puro Mini Wall-Mounted Kitchen Trash Can with Lid Food Waste Caddy, 0.79 Gal / 3L (Green)

I use this bin for a chicken bucket at our house for all the food scraps for the chickens. It’s great because the lid can stay open if you want. It’s always in a convenient location hanging on a cabinet for easy scrap disposal. And because of the lid the scraps don’t stink up the kitchen. Super sturdy and loos great with the matching full size trash can.

Fits nicely on a cabinet door meaning it doesn’t have to be on the counter taking up space. The filter really seems to help with the odors and love the fact that the top opens two ways making it easy to fill. I used the OXO model prior to this and I worked ok but the lid stopped fitting tightly after a few years and I found the odor and the bags (same ones used for each model) would leak quickly making it necessary to clean the unit often - it also seemed to attract nats. I may being unfair to OXO as this unit is new and the OXO unit is about a year old, but so far I see improvements: top multiple ways to open, counter top or hanging, charcoal filter, lift out container— but time will tell how it holds up.

Though it also has the hooks to mount it to cabinets and such, it’s also the ideal size for countertop use in our kitchen. The design of the lid is clever and it opens 2 different ways which are both useful, depending on what we’re putting inside. It does a solid job sealing smells inside but we empty it daily so I haven’t necessarily stress-tested the odor-proofing or filter longevity. It was a little pricy compared to the plastic options I was weighing but ultimately this one being countertop has the advantage of blending in with our appliances and I only hope to need this one for quite some time.

It's a nice size and it's easy to clean. I was explicitly looking for a bin with a liner that I could throw in the dishwasher, and this meets that requirement. It closes well enough that I haven't had issues with smell, even if I don't empty it nightly. That said, I wish there was a rubber edge or something to give it a proper seal. Some minor issues: - It's a bit hard to move around since there are no handles. We typically like to have it on our island where we do most of our chopping, but don't want it to permanently sit there. Given it's large size, it would've been nice if they gave a little more thought to portability. - Removing the inner bin is a bit hard when it's full. - The bags it comes with are not compostable. Sort of silly for a compost bin...

It’s perfect for our needs. Nice looking and comes with really strong bags.

Works great. Easy to install and use. Wish I would of had one before now. Easy to move to a drawer while prepping veggies. We have it on door under sink.

Since New York required composting, we have been using this for our compost. It’s a perfect size for a family of 3 (1 toddler) where we toss our compost every day. It’s held up well and stores enough compost without needing to take out multiple times a day. It is convenient as it hangs on our cabinet door and the lid also hangs nicely on the can.

I like the size of this compost bin and bought it to hang on the inside of the cabinet door under my sink. The bin is well made, but the deodorizer feature in the lid does not work well. It is too small. When the bin has scraps in it, the bin sweats with moisture, which has pooled on the bottom of my cabinet. Also, when the bin is moderately full, the weight of it is too much for the two flimsy plastic tabs which have sticky backs to attach them to your cabinet door, and within the first two weeks of use, the plastic tabs bent from the weight of the bin contents and broke off, sending the bin to the floor, spilling out some of the stinky contents. It would be better if this bin came with a very, very thin, but study couple of metal hooks that would fit over the top of the cabinet door and suspend the bin that way. Also, another comment I have is that the inner liner bin has two round grab holes on it for when you lift it out of the exterior metal canister. When the bin is full and heavy, these round grab holes are very uncomfortable on your fingers because of their thin, sharp edges. These should have been designed to be more comfortable to grab for more than a minute. I have to lug my bin down to the basement of my building and the grab holes are sharp and uncomfortable on my fingers during that 2-3 minute trip down to the basement. Otherwise, this is an aesthetically nice looking bin.

Again, another well thought-out high quality item from EKO. The design and ease-of-use of the lid is the best part. Plus, they give you free bags and activated charcoal pads (to control the smell) - that's what the green part on the inside of the bin is - you put a pad into it, and it absorbs bad smells. Also, very easy to clean and maintain a hygenic compost bin. I also really love the mixture of materials and the colours they use. Considering the amount of design and high quality materials used in the creation of this Food Waste Compost Bin, it's definitely good value for money! La taille est parfaite. Je mets deux sachets 100% papier des fruits et légumes que j'achète et je ne le sali même pas,et pas de plastique . Les deux manières d'ouvrir sont tres pratiques et la poubelle tient tres bien sur la poignée de une porte d'armoire
