Just got this. So simple to set up and use. It was just what I needed and works perfectly from the start plus easy a great price.

I am using this USB splitter as a surface mounted USB on my DIY monitor stand. I ordered this one in particular because it was affordable and very low profile. Using some generic double sided tape, I stuck the hub to the bottom of the wooden shelf portion and connected it the PC using a 3ft USB extension cable. I previously used a different brand of USB splitter but something broke inside and was causing an error. So I replaced it with this one and have gotten great results. It works perfectly and is capable of charging as well as data transmission. I never have any lag issues when using a mouse plugged into this device. As far as I can tell, the power output is similar other USB hubs I've used. The wire on this one is super short but I did see multiple wire length options. Or you can just use a USB extension cable instead. Overall, I'm super happy with this USB hub. It works great for my needs and is super low profile. It doesn't take up any more room than needed. 10/10 product, works great and is very reasonably priced.

I have a dense old desk and a dual monitor productivity setup that hogs all space on the top of my desk, with small spaces left for drinks and little display items. Previously I had used up all the 2 usb 3.0 slots on the front of my tower, meaning anytime I had to switch things around or add anything new depending on upgrades or the leisurely activity, I had to crawl on all fours just to scoot my beefy tower enough to lean under and plug something in. For ease of use: impressively, having all the data of four USB slots go through one of my USB 3.0 ports does not hinder the quality of of the data, meaning I can use my controller, microphone, and USB compatible camera at the same time and they all function as intended and the UGREEN is fully compatible with handling any combined workload at its USB speed as long as it is less than the max load your USB port can handle. It's designed well, my cables snap into place and stay in the slots, even with the 4 slot hub dangling off the front of my desktop, everything stays in just fine and works as intended. I purposely did that by the way because knowing how data works over cables, the longer the cable, the more data is lost through energy loss, also I hate cables being everywhere. Cable management is tricky with so much tech!! I've noticed this UGREEN is intended for USB cables where the USB head is the normal size, you should be ok as long as the USB head of your USB cable is not larger than like 1.5x the size of a typical USB head. With all that in mind. Solid product for my specific use case.

The hub, though competent, does not escape entirely the occasional flicker of instability under duress, and the length of its cable may, for some, impose slight inconvenience. Nevertheless, these trifles are easily outweighed by the convenience it affords, bringing order to the chaos of multiple connections. Four stars, for the device demonstrates both utility and steadfastness, a faithful companion for those who navigate the ever-growing labyrinth of modern electronics.

It works as described. It's lightweight. Just the thing I am looking for my current set up right now. Only time will tell how long this thing will last.

Like it or not, USB "A" is going to be around for a long time - especially if you have a bunch of legacy devices. That leaves most of us needing to expand the number of USB ports from our laptop or other devices. Please do note that this hub is not intended for high power consumption devices or charging. It may trickle a small charge to your phone or tablet, but expect it to take a very long time. I use this for numerous devices that are primarily moving data and it handles them all efficiently. Webcam, printer, sound bar, mouse, keyboard, thumb drives, and the list goes on. I even have one with the longer cable attached to my desktop computer that has a plethora of USB ports, but many are on the back of the tower out of reach. After all, USB is about quick and easy access. So why this one? I've owned a number of USB hubs and this is the best one I've found so far. One of the biggest problems with lesser USB hubs is a poor fiit of the USB A ports that can result in sketchy connections. Not good when you're transferring critical data. This is particularly important with a laptop where the hub may be dangling or input cables may move around. Additionally it feels sturdy, its compact size helps keep my desk tidy, and I have not yet found a use case where it doesn't work although as they say, YMMV.

It turns out that I don't use this as much as I thought I would but for when I do, unit is solid.

A simple plug-and-play device which adds more USB-ports to your PC/Laptop. UGREEN has become a reliable brand for these kinds of things. Worth the recommendation. Plus the price is amazing. Other brands charge 2-3x this price.

Excellent little hub! My still going strong 9 yr old Lenovo ran out of USB-A ports so thought to give this a go. Was unsure if I could plug it into a single USB-3 port and run my keyboard/mouse receiver AS WELL AS my bluetooth 6.0 dongle..... AND the occasional portable drive.....but there was no need for concern as it installed and works flawlessly! Not even any lag that I can notice. For the price and extending the "life" of using my old faithful its a no brainer purchase if you're running out of ports!
