Real wood edge banding tape is for covering the edges of plywood and other non-wood edges and surfaces that need to be nicely finished. Common uses are for furniture and cabinetry, but edge tape will adhere to nearly any type of surface. All edge tape has a heat-sensitive glue backing and applies quickly with an iron. Our glue is CARB II formaldehyde free adhesive. Our wood is finely sanded to perfection and installs easily by applying heat for a few seconds by any household iron. ** Because our edge banding is made from real wood, from time to time we see some natural inconsistencies. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY with your roll because of natural variation that occurs in trees or poorly placed finger joints, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL SEND YOU A FREE ROLL. **

Great Edge Banding
As is the case with many things, its greatest strength is also its weakness. I almost gave this five stars because, of all the edge banding I've used over thirty years in the building industry, the hot melt adhesive is among the best I've ever used. It really sticks well! However, I took off one star (would have only taken off half a star if I could) because this terrific adhesive is somewhat unevenly applied to the edge banding, so there is quite a bit of squeeze out in some areas, which clogs files and/or sandpaper very quickly when dressing the edges, and some places take some time to get all the extra glue off after it cools. The other minor drawback is that when they say 3/4", they mean 3/4"! Other edge banding that I've used is slightly oversized, so there's room for a bit of error. Not so with this one, but that's a very minor concession for a product that adheres so well. Great product, when it runs out, I'll buy it again.

poor quality, LOTS of joints.
250 feet edge bands are supposed to have finger joints every 15 or 20 feet. This one has a (very ugly) joint every 2 feet or less (see back of band in first picture). This means there is A LOT of waste. Also, the graining is ugly and inconsistent with lots of knots and dark spots (see second picture). Finally there is a lot of glue which makes the project messy (although, I could live with that if it was the only problem).Overall, be ready to waste a lot of band on your project. I wish I was not on a tight deadline because I would surely return it.

It was super easy to install using my wife's iron
I purchased this wood edge banding to finish some cabinets and wood projects around the home. It was super easy to install using my wife's iron. I pressed the iron on the wood for just a few seconds and moved forward while guiding the veneer onto the edge. It was already sanded so I just stained it along with the rest of the plywood I was using and was done.

Used for a craft project
Used this product to make veneer wood art. Overall, it did exactly what I expected it to do, however the sticky backing was pretty weak. I'd suggest using an additional adhesive for this if using for its actual purpose.

It is red oak and is edge banding so it has that going for it.
This has several things going for it: it is 7/8" wide and the glue bonds wellIt has one major item going against it: There is a really ugly finger jointing every 24" or so. This means that you end up looking for a good section if you are edge banding a plywood shelf.

Great Adhesion and Finish
This worked flawlessly on my walk-in closet project. Adhesion was perfect with a normal iron; took stain and finish. All the panels look like solid wood.

Good value
Seemed a little thin and a little extra glue then others. But did work well.
