This train is not worth the price. Did not recieve all the parts and doesn’t work. Track is flimsy and doesn’t stay together.

I bought for my son as Christmas present, he like it! value for money!

Got this for my son for xmas, he loves it! Unfortunately, the first box came with 4 left splits instead of 2 right and 2 left, we returned it and the second set was complete. The train is adorable and the steam is a fun touch. It derails easily, but considering he's constantly touching it I won't hold it against them. Overall, the kid loved it, he's happy, I'm happy. Return process was easy, got it done and the new set in before new years.

No one wants to admit to feed with a toy design for a 3 year old, but there's no clear indication of where the battery goes. I unscrewed the bottom of the locomotive but that's not it.

Exciting gift

The Lucky Doug toy train set is one of the most fun things I've tried yet. The train cars are large and impressive for kids to play with and handle. The pieces are not hard to assemble but there are some that are on the small side, so an adult might help with those to make things easier.The track layout when using all of the pieces is quite large. It will occupy a space of about 3x6 feet at least. I used the space between my coffee table and television to set it up. The track comes with a pair of turnouts which allow for a passing track which is pretty fun. Just set it up symmetrically and you won't have any trouble.The bag of small parts contains small pieces that keep the track tightly together. Slip them over the edge where the railroad ties meet. Two battery packs are included and a charging cord you can use with an existing USB charger. One battery runs the train for a good long while!The train car couplers are also in the bag. The double coupler goes between the locomotive and it's tender car. All of the couplers simply press down over the holes at the back of each piece of rolling stock. Speaking of which, the two gondolas have cargo inserted which you can grab and pull out. This way kids can pull around their choice of toys or whatever.This Lucky Doug toy train set was so much fun for me as a train enthusiast to review and enjoy. It has light, sounds, and steam (referred to as electric spray on the box). One of the smoke stacks has a cover that pulls off, revealing a reservoir for water. This will produce real steam that chuffs and puffs as the locomotive moves along the tracks. Very fun! A word of advice, you only need a few drops of water to produce the steam for a good long while, so use a very small amount each play session.Inside the package are several standees you can assemble to have a village and people along the trains route. Extra special for kids to play with I think.A kid by any name would consider themselves lucky to receive this great toy train set!

This shipped with no instructions. The train would not stay on the track for even one loop. The overall design was very cheap and the track will our goal was to have a simple train to run under our Christmas tree this year for my boys and they were very upset that it wouldn't work. Will not buy this again or recommend this to anyone. 👎
