I am always looking for the right bolt. I have coffee cans with spares, but I never seem to have the diameter or length. This assortment helps with that. I got the 1/4-20 version to check it out. I am happy with it. It sounds like a lot, but I was surprised how small the package was. Everything is there. I just imagined it would take more space. There are just a few for each length, and there are several length options. In a pinch I should have an option. I may buy a couple more diameters to keep around.

The assortments offered on this page come in 6 sizes with 3 head types. I selected the socket head, #8-32, for my projects. The 8 gauge size is more than adequate for a Plexiglass project and the socket head offers two advantages. First, if finger-tight is good enough the rounded socket head is perfect. I’ll use a few to replace screws on my computer cover for tooless removal. Second, the hex socket pretty much guarantees you won’t strip the head as you might with a Philips head. Just to make sure I put a nut in a vise and put as much torque as I could muster on the hex head. The 304 stainless steel showed no signs of wear.The case is about the size of two decks of playing cards but has adequate space for removing pieces from the 10 compartments. It provides the organization I need in my workshop. I wondered why I only had 40 nuts for 110 screws but in reality, I am unlikely to use all of them. Just in case I checked and #8-32 stainless nuts are available, 50 for $7.00 from another vendor. Using that data point for nuts alone the assortment’s 202 pieces are reasonably priced. The manufacturer offers good advice, “Please check the size carefully before purchasing” because all items on this page are relatively small. If the size is appropriate, these fasteners will meet your needs.

This is a good kit but I feel like it should have included enough nuts for all the bolts.

Kit is very well made and has a nice selection. Got this to help fill in my nut and bolt collection. Never hurts to have a bunch of random nuts and bolts around just incase you find yourself in need.

My boyfriend always needs different hardware for various projects. They come in a 5 3/4 X 4" clear plastic case with partitions, a hanging tab, and a typical hex wrench. My boyfriend said they are more attractive than standard zinc hardware because they are stainless steel that hopefully won't rust. Individual pieces could cost as much as 50 cents or more, depending on the size, at a hardware store. This assortment provides a great range of pieces. Just be sure to order the correct size you need.

This set is everything claimed in the listing!I ordered the 4-40 size because this is what I often need. I sampled many screws and nuts for mating and 100% worked perfectly.There are far fewer nuts included than screws, but I suppose that many of the screws will get used with threaded panels, and such. I could detect no defects in any of the pieces.The case is compact and survived shipping just fine. The clasp held tight and the supplier used cellophane tape to fully wrap the case in Length and width. The different parts are bagged separately and all the bags were intact.I am very happy with the design, the quality and quantity of parts. Great set!

I selected these Kindroufly 6-32 stainless screws because it's a size I use often for hobby projects and this assortment came with a nice variety of sizes. I especially appreciate that they didn't skip lengths: from 3/16 to 1" in 1/16" and 1/8" increments is a perfect selection. It even includes nuts and washers, which aren't always part of an assortment like this, although combined these make up 102 of the 252 pieces. Each size came individually bagged in an organizer case. The case isn't very high quality, with a lot of flex, so over time nuts and washers will probably find their way to other compartments. It does seem to snap reasonably securely, although I wouldn't want to drop it. Still, I'm mostly just interested in the screws themselves, and they appear to be good quality stainless steel screws comparable to any others I've purchased over the years.

This is a great set (I got 4/40) of different length screws. I use them in electronics I build as a hobby. The box is a nice addition, easy to find what I want. It wouldn't take more than a couple of trips the the hardware store to spend more than this assortment.
