I recently upgraded my desk to a large L shaped standing desk so that I would have plenty of workspace for hobbies, graphic design work, and other projects to my side. I installed an overhead camera mount, but unfortunately to position of my overhead can lights cast noticeable shadows on anything I photographed even with smaller additional side lights to minimize the issue. This light has fixed that issue entirely while also providing an excellent source of light for any projects requiring detailed work like folding, cutting, painting, and repairing electronics. I thought I might need a second one, but one is more than enough for my needs. It easily overpowers my ceiling can lights and provides plenty of light at my workspace even when all the other lights in my room are off. That being said, I do have a few minor gripes with the product. Firstly, I dislike the remote. It’s at a weird location and there is no provided way to mount it out of the box. I have taken some Velcro straps and attached it to the pole and that has been fairly functional if not slightly unsightly due to all the visible cables. My second gripe is how the cable is permanently attached to the LED, I would have liked to see this be a removable USB cable or something of the sort. This is not a gripe, but rather a wish. I hope that a future iteration of the product will fix the above gripes while also providing some kind of support for RGB. If this supported RGB, it would open up a ton of extra flexibility for photography and instantly give me enough justification to buy multiple with the purpose of playing with light in my shots. I wouldn't mind paying a premium for these extra features. Overall, this is a great hobby light for a work bench and would work well as a key, rim, or back light as well due to its adjustable brightness settings. I could see myself getting a second one for my garage workbench at some point in the future.

Honestly a great purchase for the price. Quality is pretty good, and the light can be quite bright! There are three very distinct set modes for light temperature, with in line controls for brightness (which is fine with me. No need to fiddle with an extra remote and color settings). Articulation is pretty good too. It is powered via usb A, and comes included with an AC adapter. Overall it is pretty sturdy. I don’t notice any shaking while I have it clamped to the side of my desk. 5/5.

Very nice light that doesn't get in the way. Light can sit up to 3-4 feet above mounting location. Clears Portrait 27" monitor easily. Light has 3 warmth settings with adjustable brightness. Easy to install and secure.

Let me start by saying this isn't a bad product. It's absolutely going to work for my streaming to help bring my lighting up a notch. That being said, I don't know that this is worth $40 USD plus applicable taxes. It has the basic lighting control that you get on any standard ring light these days, so nothing special there. You can switch between three modes and then adjust the brightness level--very simple. So basically warm toned, neutral toned, and cool toned light. The problem with the switch however is its placement on the wire. It's smack dab in the middle, so it has ended up in a very awkward spot as far as accessibility goes to actually turn it on and off. If this were a light that were placed off to the side it wouldn't be an issue, but since it's marketed to go behind a monitor (which is exactly where mine is), the switch itself ends up somewhere behind said monitor and has to be fished out in order to turn the light on and off. And that's just with me plugging it into an outlet on top of my desk--if it had to be plugged in further down I fear the actual switch might end up lost behind the desk itself which is not optimal. Then there's the c-clamp that hooks it onto the desk, or in my case, the windowsill. It can open nice and large to hook onto a variety of flat surfaces, but the drawback is that there's a huge screw that has to come down to open it wide. On top of that the screw itself does not sit flush when it's fully screwed in, so you have extra length to contend with in general. This lends it to not play well in smaller areas, thus favoring wide open spots to be hooked onto. I may eventually try to find a different stand to hook it onto instead of the c-clamp, because it really is very awkward (and I couldn't get it onto the usual base I hook c-clamps to as my desk itself doesn't facilitate them). The arm that it comes with is nice and sturdy though, and I appreciate the simplicity of it. So far, right out of the package, it seems to hold its positioning well and not take much effort to adjust. I have concerns that the friction settings that it uses might wear down over time, but as I've had this light for all of 24hrs as of writing this review I can only speculate on that account. Overall I'm giving it a 4/5 star rating because while it functions as described, I think it does have those two glaring areas where improvement could be made for an item that is $40 USD.

Pretty impressive how much light this puts off and how easy it was to attach to my son's desk.

I love this light, it has different settings on it, and it is great to have on while watching tv. It also makes you look better on webcam, It is sturdy, and well made, I had it together in 2 minutes if that.. Highly recommend this product. It came in one day.. The mount is well made not cheap and flimsy, It is lightweight and easy to maneuver, the cord has a good length, it can plug into a computer or into the plug that came to with it and into an outlet.. It has great stability and is easy to function..

Ended up getting 4 of them for all my different setups. Simple, cost affective, and enough adjustments for good solid use with out all the gimmicky light shows. Adjustable tube stands are solid and still holding good and solid. Over all good quality, design, and functionality to put them in the essential equipment category. Whether you are starting out and don't want to break the bank or you are more experienced and just want good solid basics .

Just received it an hour ago and as soon as I put it on, the clamp broke so it is no good! Very poor quality product. DO NOT buy it. I was going to give it a four star review because it appears that you get two lights, but I figured that I should try it first, and it broke right away.
