what diameter post is this made for?

Don't know. I custom cut and bent metal bars to fit this around a square post and then bolted my custom made pieces together. I can't even measure the original pieces now.

Will this kit work with my heng feng 2 person double hammock with 12 foot portable steel stand?

I would have to see a picture of the stand. I don’t know what a heng feng looks like.

will they work on a wood frame?

I don't see how, unless you were able to make some sort of adapter. These wheels are made to work with the round steel frame hammock stands.
