Very, very great wool for carding and roving
Love, love, this wool, I can card it, make my own roving, and best of all it felts nicely for my needle felting cores.. The quality of it to me is very good and price of it. If not afraid to card it some to make your needle felting core creations, it's in very good quality of doing so..will buy more in the future..no smells either..Quality Awesome..no stickness.

Good core wool for felting projects
Yes indeed, there are teeny bits of seeds, leaf bits, and micro sticks in this wool. However, it is easy to remove this stuff with just my fingers, and it felts very nicely. So fat I have used it as core wool for Christmas ornaments and some wee cartoonish puppy sculptures. It felts up very solid. In my bag, I found some pieces with waves or curls that I hope to use as exterior locks for a curly coated puppy project. The lanolin (grease) has been removed, so it is not sticky and it doesn’t smell funny. There’s enough wool packed into my 1 lb bag to last me for a very long time through many projects!

This wool is PERFECT! I am a primitive artist and make a lot of dolls...this wool works beautifully. I am so very pleased and absolutely will be purchasing again! Thank you so much!

This product comes as described. It worked great as bedding for my small animals.
I purchased this product to use as bedding for my Flying Squirrels. They absolutely loved it and packed their houses with it to the brim. The wool is packed densely and worked well for my purposes. It does have a considerable amount of debris, which might affect its use as a stuffing for dolls and furniture, which is reflected in my four star review. I wanted raw and untreated wool, and I that is what I happily received.

I know you want to try, but don't do it.
Poor quality wool unsuitable for processing and spinning. No discernable locks, lots of second cuts, broken locks, felting, neps, lots of matting. Very short staple, 2 inches at most. VM and debris was expected. Types of VM/defects include hay, burrs, mud, canary stains (bacterial contamination) The only media in this listing that is remotely accurate is the video where they open the package. It is way worse in person. Making this wool useable requires a considerable amount of work. It is quite dense because of the matting and felting so requires a lot of carding to make it suitable to use as stuffing, wool dryer balls, core wool for felting. You will not be able to use it right out of the bag for those types of projects. For spinners, this is not a suitable beginners fleece or "let me try it out" project. You can hand card it into a fluffy mass that can be barely made into a rolag. When the rolag is spun, it does not flow smoothly due to the amount of neps and second cuts. You will spend a lot of time and energy to make a very rough, rustic yarn. For reference, I used hand carders to make rolags which I spun on a wheel using a long draw method and then made the singles into 3 ply to try to smooth out the lumpiness. Did it yield a useable yarn? yes. Would I want to spend any more time picking, carding, spinning and knitting with this product? H-E-double hockey sticks NO. let me leave you with one last bit of advice. Is this product considering "good value" for the price? Before I answer that, keep in mind that the value of this item is not just the price per oz of wool, but also whether or not it is a good use of your time. I would say no. Don't go for it.

Birds love it.
The birds seam to love it. Filled the “feeder” last week and it was empty today. We’ve seen all species of birds grabbing from it. No idea where they’re flying off to with it though.

Good quality fleese
I've just started yarn spinning. I wanted to learn the whole process from start to finish. Because eventually my husband and I would like to have a sheep. I bought the combs and stuff to brush it and pick out all the little stickers and stuff. I've been researching the best ways to do this for almost a year now and finally I'm able to do it. People who leave negative reviews is because they're so used to the polished product that is so readily available for us, and they don't know how much time and dedication it takes to actually clean wool. The wool was actually amazing to feel because I didn't actually know what wool felt like. It definitely didn't smell at all either. I was shocked at how much they were able to stuff in the little bag that I got and was thinking that couldn't be a pound of wool. But my husband assured me when it fluffs up and such it most certainly is. I was too excited to get spinning and didn't wash it I carded it and started with my drop spindle. It was still more difficult than I thought it would be. Most cultures didn't always boil the lanoline out of the wool, sometimes they actually used it to oil their machinery. I didn't feel like there was lanoline or anything like that in the fibers, it just felt like hair. I don't know if I will be ordering this again just because there are better options out there where it is pre-done so I can just focus on learning the craft. Eventually when we get our sheep, we won't need to buy it from other people. Thanks for this amazing opportunity to experience something new though. I recommend people try it at least once.

Exactly what I needed for my needle felting. Needs some work to make it usable, but that was expected. It’s good quality wool at a reasonable price.

The wool is matted and full of nubs. Not even useful as practice wool to get back into spinning. Impossible to hand card. Overpriced and disappointing. Will not buy from this company again.
