Great for upgrading a hand auger
The media could not be loaded. I decided to upgrade my 8" Nils hand auger to electric power and was trying my 18v Dewalt drills with dismal results. Then I noticed this auger head for sale here on Amazon. It was a brand new product with zero reviews when I purchased it, so I knew I was taking a gamble.I was not disappointed.Understand that for my project I had to not only machine my own adapter, I had to cut apart my precious Nils auger from its stock hand crank union. The Landworks powerhead has plenty of torque to turn this VERY aggressive Nils cutting head and cut 8" holes very quickly. The first battery charge lasted 3 fishing trips which is great. Just remember to charge it each time or bring a spare. The Reverse function is AWESOME. Let's you back out from a crooked hole or flush down holes easily whether they are full of slush or cloudy with chum/bait/slime.I was curious how many inches of ice I could drill with my cutting head on a full charge without wasting battery life doing downhill flushes so I took it out to the lake and ran it through its paces. Its warming up here in Alaska rapidly at the moment but the local lake still has about 29" of ice where I did my test.I was able to drill 28 holes before it started to show signs of low battery (low voltage shut off) but I was able to drill several more holes even after that by pulling up and initiating the auger again. I guess that would be useful if you just had to have a few more holes at the end of a long day...But 28 holes before low battery in 29" of ice is pretty solid (812") on a 2AH battery. For comparison, the ION 8" 3AH auger advertises 1000". That would theoretically make my auger setup 20% more efficient than the comparable ION brand auger. (Math wizards correct me if I'm wrong).Only cons I can think of is the buttons/trigger switches could "feel" a little better. Comparing the trigger switch on my other hand tools the Landworks definitely feels a little clunkier. This isn't a huge issue, but I think its definitely something that could be improved upon. The trigger switch is 2 fingers wide with the potentiometer in the middle. So you really need to use equal pressure with the 2 fingers to get reliable actuation. The position of all the trigger switches are in the correct, ergonomic places however.Overall I think this is an excellent product, and currently the only one of it's kind on the market that I am aware of. I will definitely be purchasing a 4aH battery once I can figure out how to get one shipped to Alaska.

Just buy it I promise you will love it.
I had to dig lots of holes for the fence posts and this machine just saved me a ton of time and just made the job super easy. I am so happy with this machine, it was a total surprise. I never write reviews but this deserves all my gratitude so I just had to do it. By the way the company is amazing also, it was a pleasure dealing with them , I wish they were all like this. You just can’t go wrong with this .

Buy this instead of renting one from the hardware store
So nice not having to race against the rental clock. It’s powerful enough to get through small roots and stones and I was able to dig 4-6 holes on one charge. By the time I was done setting those posts the battery was fully charged again for digging the next set. Also the motor cuts when it hits too much resistance so you don’t have to worry about the thing throwing you around.

Better than Earthquake
I've used a gas powered Earthquake for over 20 years to dig holes for planting tomatoes (72 holes a season) every year. I was on my second Earthquake powerhead and developing problems with it and decided it was time to try something different. I'm extremely glad that I did. It goes through NC clay just as well as the Earthquake did--and perhaps better. I also don't have to try to deal with the extremely loud engine that the Earthquake had which was helping to accelerate my hearing problems. Oh-- and at age 64 it is lighter and easier to use than the Earthquake. I used to use a 10 inch bit with the Earthquake but 8 inch is just fine for my purposes. I'm extremely happy that I purchased this.

Great little Auger that made putting footings in a breeze.
First of all, at first there was a little problem in getting the Auger head shipped to me, but I have to say Amazon's customer support team made it happen. Once I received the auger head and charged the battery completely I was able to dig the four footings in tough soil within an hour. I used the 8" auger drill that is made for this device. It had the right amount of power for my use, and one of the best tools I have bought in a while. Next will be the back fence with twelve fence posts to dig. I might buy another battery for that project.

Extra charges .
After paying U.S. dollar exchange,I was charged $58.00 to cross border into Canada, then charged additional $63.00 for delivery by courier, bringing total to almost $600.00 Canadian.I should have been told in advance this product was coming from U.S. and extra charges would be applied.

Poor quality battery with ice fishing auger.
VERY BAD CUSTOMER RELATIONS!ONLY GOOD FOR 6 HOLES before the battery is exhausted. You won't be getting 66 holes, as advertised. For Canadian shoppers, you don't save any money by buying this product from USA Amazon. At the border, there are import charges and extra shipping costs added to the bill, plus exchange rates. You will need to carry a power converter to charge the battery.

Good product, bad shipping
Product was good, however I paid for Rush shipping it showed up 5 days late and I also had to pay a UPS shipping fee extra at the border, I did not know I was going to have to do this when I ordered it.
