SM25
I purchased the SM25, the cheaper, smaller one of the options after our 6 year old Angelcare system finally kicked the bucket. We spent about £150 on the Angelcare one so £35 for this felt like a risk, but it had good reviews and we don't need another 6 years out of this one, so I took a chance. It seems really high quality so far. The screen is obviously smaller than on many but I like it being compact and the size doesn't stop the visibility. The camera is clear and of good quality. The camera itself pivots on the angel so it is really easy to get the setup correct (our previous one didn't do this and had to be propped up etc to get the right angle). The sound seems clear and it has an intercom type option (although we won't use that personally).Because the screen is small it is harder to see the icons but that's a price I'm willing to pay. Also the stand is flimsy but I don't need that particularly.I think as a first time parent you stick with the well known brands, but actually I'm annoyed withuself for buying the Angelcare one originally. You are better off buying something lower budget, at least initially until you know what features you need and this monitor seems perfect for that and I'm hoping it will last us a couple of years.

Does everything our expensive monitor does
Ideal second monitor for Nanas house. Great value for money, more than enough battery life, easy to get started. It has a small screen, but I don't mind that, I think a larger screen is unnecessary. Brill little piece of kit.

Easy peasy
It's really easy to set up. I like the automatic change from day to night vision. Worked instantly. It's a great product for the money. Very happy with it.

Replacement monitor
We bought this to replace a well know brand camera that was uselessly unreliable infact we had it replaced twice and still failed. This has been faultless so far. Good value. The signal is a little weak but perfectly acceptable anywhere within the house .

Great little monitor
Got this as our more exspensive one decided to die. Didn't want to spend a fortune on another. After reading reviews I ordered this one. It's actually got great clarity on the camera at night, love how you can play music through and talk to the little one through it. So far so good and very reasonably priced

720 HD resolution is good but 1080 HD would be better - Great it doesn't need a Wi-Fi connection
I've been using the Babystar Baby Monitor with Camera and Night Vision for a little while now, and I'm quite impressed with its features and functionality. The 3.2-inch screen is crisp and clear, which means I can easily see what's going on inside the room. The portable design is a huge plus—very handy for moving around the house. What I love most is the ECO Mode. It lights up the screen when noise is detected and turns it off when everything is quiet, which is perfect for saving battery. The night vision is surprisingly clear, making nighttime monitoring a breeze, and the two-way audio lets me soothe my little one without always running back and forth. One other great feature is being able to see the temperature of the room from the monitor screen so I know the room is always the perfect temp. The long battery life is another standout feature, ensuring the monitor lasts throughout the day without needing a recharge. Also, the long-range signal means I can move around freely without losing connection. However, I appreciate the added privacy with no Wi-Fi connection required, which keeps our moments private and secure.Overall, this Babystar monitor offers good value, combining essential monitoring features with ease of use, which is exactly what every parent needs! It would be nice, for this price, if it had 1080 HD rather than 720 and for that reason I have deducted one star from the rating. The monitor was priced at £60 at the time of ordering.

Great little monitor
Great price for a good all-round monitor. Picture and sound quality is great, range seems fine in my house and its good to have a 2-way sound option and zoom feature. 10/10

Don't bother
Worked brilliant, then just started disconnecting and now the camera won't come on at all, no options to contact seller for a replacement. So frustrating

Wonderful camera
I told myself that if I keep a bassinet upstairs and a bassinet downstairs, I would not need a baby monitor this time around. Then the universe laughed at me because I have an insanely loud husband, 3 other arguing children, and an overactive border collie running around on hardwood floors llaying with everyone.. Needless to say, baby needed to start sleeping upstairs in peace with the loudest nouse machine ever created (an old box fan) away from these hoodlums. So I got a baby monitor. Lucky for me, this had same day delivery, a 20% discount and no fuss putting it together because it doesn't require hooking to wifi! We. Love. This. Camera. You should note that the camera part HAS to be plugged in at all times. You can set it up on a taller dresser or something beside the crib. It swivels in every direction for a clear view, or you can hang it up in a corner or something out of reach of baby and position it to face baby's crib. We haven't put ours on the wall yet but we are going to with the provided anchor and screw. The way this camera is set up, you can just slip it up over the screw if you need to take it down to use in a different room or something. It also has a microphone button you can hold in to talk to baby from the monitor screen (which I don't use but will when he it a toddler, I'm sure) as well as 4 lullabies you can play. I also don't use those. We have a 2400 sq. ft. home and it reaches everywhere I go. The monitor can be charged up and taken off the charger to carry around or you can use it attached to the wall. Seriously. I LOVE IT. It has a clear night time screen so when baby goes to bed at 8, I can sneak downstairs for bottled water, snacks, etc without worrying anymore. I highly recommend this one! And no, I did not get this as a discount or free for a review. I'm a broke mom (didn't you hear me say I have 4 kids, lol) so my purchases mean enough to me to tell the truth on them. I am one judgemental lady, haha.

Basic one that does its job
Omg, I had a horrible monitor for the first year of my kids life. It couldn't be disconnected for more than 5 minutes because of the battery, color didnt work, the connection to the device was falling out. I was tired of it so bought this instead. What a difference. It stays on for hours after unplugging, the quality of the picture is ok, nothing special, but seems to be working so much better than my old one. I am overall very happy with this one. It's just a basic one that does its job. No bells and whistles!

Not Impressed
Overall a decent baby camera. Image is in black and white. Size of the screen is small and sometimes hard to see what you are looking at, so picture isn't as clear as I would expect. Audio I would say is good though, but when the parent control gets within 10 ft of the baby monitor it makes a loud interference sound, which is really annoying. Controls are pretty easy to follow and figure out. Overall though our main use for a baby camera is the Audio from the parent monitor, and the clarity/quality on the image. This unfortunately didn't meet our needs.

Bang for your Buck!!
I had already had a baby monitor but it didn’t work as good as I wanted it to. It was just audio and having a small baby...that was so frustrating and gave me anxiety when he was sleeping in another room. So I decided to give this a try. It has worked wonderfully. It was easy to setup, it took a bit to get a hang of the buttons/settings but after that it was smooth sailing. The picture is clear and crisp, you can see baby clearly and with detail. Also the night vision is awesome, I expected grainy and blurry but it’s as good as “daytime” vision. My older kids loves the two way talk, they used it as a wallow talkie, so I have no issues with that. And the temperature gauge...I love it! It’s getting down to the low 30s-20s here during the day and night and having the reassurance that my baby is not in a freezing room and that he is warm and safe has been the. Eat feeling ever. I highly recommend this product!

Works ok
The night vision and sound motions works well. And I have had no issues with connecting in any part of the house and the battery on the monitor will last about 4 -5 days in economy mode. It's also nice that there was zero set up. No logging in or passwords, just turn the sucker on and it works. One HUGE criticism which took it down to 4 stars: I wish the lens was wider angle. I have to put the monitor fairly far up the wall in order to see the entire crib. And because I put the camera so far up the wall and away from my baby, the motion detection does not work well.
