The Everything Wedding Organizer: Checklists, Charts, and Worksheets for Planning the Perfect Day!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I have read about ten wedding planners and this one is by far the most upbeat and non-aggressive. Several other books were very opinionated and at times, sarcastic about the 'right' way to do things. This author makes suggestions and offers ideas. There are a bunch of checklists and worksheets - which are very helpful. In fact, I flagged so many pages it looked like my book had wings. Whether you are planning a formal or casual wedding this book is a great 'guide' not a rigid 'rule book'.

I bought this for my wife right after we got engaged, and she carried it with her faithfully through all of the tastings, samplings, shopping, vendors, etc. By the time we got married it was stuffed to about 3x it's original thickness! It was a very good read for us, and allowed for organization that was critical as deadlines approached. Highly recommended.

This is a lot more helpful than most wedding organizers. Some organizers are full of product placement and trendy "must haves" whereas this book helped me navigate the maze of wedding traditions and plan a solid budget. It covers little details as who pays for which expenses, dates and goals for planning, and how to honor various relatives and guests without offending them. Since my wedding planner ditched me halfway through planning, this book was a great help. It does not include much help with extra parties though such as bachelorette, bridal shower, engagement dinner, or wedding rehearsal. It does not go into menu planning or seating arrangements for the reception, so it is not all inclusive.

Got this as a gift for a couple for their engagement party. I am an organizing/planner freak. They really liked it. Wish I had this for my wedding planning instead of having to make my own planner. There is a section for everything that needs to be planned. The price of the organizer is great too.

I bought this organizer as I began to plan my wedding (which was around August 2010). The book was great at providing information on various parts of the wedding process, such as what factors to consider for the ceremony, tips for the bridal shower, and how to handle the rehearsal dinner. This was great since I had very little knowledge of these processes. I did have a couple small gripes though. First, the planner is too small to hold most of your paperwork. There are only a couple inserts to hold items and they do not hold a standard letter-size paper, so plan on folding any items you put in here. (I actually started a separate binder for items like contracts and such that I did not want to fold.) Also, I really should have gone with a planner that separated items in the order/months they were to be done. This planner separated sections by the various events that occur during the planning process. (For example it was broken down by the ceremony, the bridal party, the reception, etc. vs. To-Dos 6-8 months in advance, 4-6 months in advance, and so on.) I ended up using a separate online checklist to ensure I was getting things done at the proper time. This book is great for those that need general information on the wedding process and have a good idea for the timing of events. For me, it did not work as a "catch all" planner, but did provide some good, basic information.

This book is all you need for an inexperienced Bride to be, that is why I chose it,as a gift to her it lived up to all my expectations. instead of listening to people who themselves are not married and taking all kinds of ill advise I chose that for her. I am a caterer and i knew she was being led astray, but since reading that she is fully in control of her self.,Proper Book with every thing you need to know.

I looked at a few when I got engaged. This was one of the best. It helped me look at a budget realistically, instead of The Knot, which made me think I had to have a $50k wedding in order for it to be just nice. I would def recommend this to others!

I ordered this for my sister who got engaged this year. Unfortunately she lives on the other side of the country, so i cant be as involved as I want in her planning, but she LOVED this planner & is using it regularly to plan. THANKS!

Bought this when we first got engaged and it has been awesome in planning everything out and catching even the smallest of details to keep me organized !

I do enjoy consulting w this organizer for tips and advice on planning a wedding. If you don't have a clue, and you're not sure what the expectation is this book will give you good examples and tell you what the expectation may be. I love the pocket in the back, holds all of the vendors cards and receipts. The book is a firm sturdy book that I carry everywhere I go and it still is in great shape. I have not really used the charts and papers to keep organized as I'm using an app on my phone. Great read tho!!
