Great book, great series
My daughter loved it so much that she has started to read the whole series to us out loud as we travel in the car.

Ponti Is Right On Target
I've read all of the City Spies books, and each one gets better and better. The kids, each come from a very different background, and under the tutelage of an elder spy master, they have become spies, they have become family. Each book takes you to multiple locations where they work together to save the world. In this book, they are trying to save an activist that has been targeted by bad guys. The book is fast paced and filled with laughter and tense (but not to tense) situations which makes the kids think outside the box. Highly recommended.

Love the Kids, Not the Best Story
Rio, Kat, Sydney, Paris, Brooklyn, and even Cairo are great characters, and it's a joy to read their interactions, and their struggles as teens as well as City Spies. Mr. Ponti allows his people growth in each volume of this terrific series. I also like the adults -- Mother (who's actually a father), Monty, Tru, and others who pepper the series. The plot of this entry seemed forced with too much social issues cluttering up the story. I wanted more of the bits of history/geography that the author peppers up the story. And for "Mission Manhattan," it takes over 300 pages before we land in my favorite borough.Still, this is a great book for young readers. I'm way older, and treasure well-written novels for kids. Look forward to the next in the series.
