One of the scripts my daughter is studying in high school. The book tells the story of a man who needs money to win the favour of a woman and pass a test to win her hand in marriage.

Love these editions

I bought several of these Shakespeare editions as a gift for my husband. They are slim, & much easier to manage than, say, 'the Complete Works of Shakespeare'. The Merchant of Venice is a good story, - best not to say too much about the plot for those who haven't read the play (or seen the film version). Like many people, I'd read the play at school as part of my 'O' level curriculum, and even at that age, found it very memorable. A much better choice for school-age children, than, say, A Midsummer Night's Dream, which most teenagers find (at that age) to be utter rubbish. Highly recommended.

The book is exactly as described and just what was needed for gcse English.

I was going to use these two books as a present for my daughter but the state in which I got these books is awful. When I opened my package one book (Hamlet) was just wedged into the other (Merchant of Venice) and now many pages are damaged. If it weren't for the damaged way they were sent, the books would have been good value.

Mia figlia fa il liceo linguistico d per le vacanze la lista dei libri da leggere, compresi quelli in lingua originale, è infinita. Testi difficili da trovare in negozi convenzionali, anche ordinandoli molto tempo prima. E solitamente costosi. Questo mi è arrivato in pochissimi giorni. Edizione integrale. Ottima edizione economica, ad un costo veramente contenuto.

It's a good story. I just can't understand Shakespeare. Just being honest. I don't even remember why I bought the book. I think I was trying to figure out where the saying "A pound of flesh" came from. I rented the 2004 movie with Al Pacino. Good movie! Then it made sense.

Ottimo libro

Ottimo acquisto, celere la spedizione e la transazione. Acquistato insieme ad Hamlet e Macbeth. Tutti i libri sono arrivati in ottime condizioni. Un appunto: non presenta note a pie di pagina come altre versioni.
