Lovely Little Patio Pond
Really pleased with this water feature. It was fairly easy to put together (better with two people) and looks great in the garden. The window panels are a nice touch to watch the fish 🐟 swim past and the fountain adds a relaxing sound. The pump and filter work well, also UV clarifier. It’s perfect for a few small fish and plants. Lovely little LED light which makes the pond come to life. The instructions aren’t very clear and we had to turn to YouTube to see how people did some parts. Overall, a great addition for a bit of calm and character on the patio!

Beautiful pond, but boy!! What a pickle to put together 🤯
Firstly I’d like to say that this pond is absolutely amazing, since having it I’ve lost hours just sitting down watching the fish swim past the windows.. it’s soooo tranquil and relaxing I couldn’t recommend it more.. But boy as the reviews said it was a right pickle ( my polite word!!) to put together, the instructions were useless so YouTube helped us a little more, but honestly book out a good long afternoon to do it.. I filled the pond up, put all the right chemicals in it ( pond safe and bought some bacteria from my local garden centre) and left it a week before getting any fish, I bought 3 to begin with and added 1 more a week later and will probably get a couple more, as a man in the garden centre advised about only having 6 to keep it looking nice and low maintenance, but even with 4 they’re constantly at the windows which is lovely.. if you’re undecided about getting one, I’d say this is definitely a fab one, it was a great price and will be a great addition to any garden.. 🐟🐠🐡

Good, but...
I bought this pond just over 2 years ago so thought I'd offer my considered opinion on it. Firstly, it looks really nice. It's very relaxing sitting in the garden on a summer evening, listening to the waterfall and watching the fish swimming past the windows. Overall, I'm glad I bought it. That isn't an unreserved recommendation though - it needs a LOT of work to keep it looking nice and the pump working properly. The in pond filter unit takes up approx 50% of the area of the base of the pond which means that a large portion of fish poo and general muck either lands on or gets drawn into the filter. This seems to overwhelm it and, during the summer in particular, the pump pretty much much grinds to a halt every 1 - 2 weeks. This means the filter needs taking out, cleaning and the pump unit flushing through with a hose. Then it's great again, but it's a time consuming, dirty and unpleasant job. A friend bought the larger size version of this pond (which is what prompted me to get mine) and he doesn't seem to have the problem to the same extent so I think it's largely a result of how much of the base of the pond the filter takes up - in a larger area more muck would settle around it than in it! The water also evaporates at an alarming rate in the summer too and it needs topping up every week (not a problem Blagdon can do anything about of course, but worth bearing in mind in terms of maintenance levels). Lastly, the porthole windows go green with algae very quickly when the sun is on them, and again scrubbing them clean is a weekly task. I've only ever cleaned them with the official cleaning cloths Blagdon produce and they were fine for 18 months, but in the last 6 months they have started to scuff slightly, leaving them looking a little cloudy even when clean, which is a bit annoying as it's lovely to see the bright colours of the fish when the windows are properly clear. In summary, these ponds are a nice addition to your garden but if I were to buy one again I'd go for the larger size, otherwise be prepared to spend a lot of time maintaining it!

Beautiful addition to my garden
I thought about buying this for a long time, probably for about a year, but was put off by the price! I have thought of every way to try and get an above ground pond for less money, but nothing was going to work or look half as good as this. So eventually I bit the bullet and ordered this little beauty. I'm not even sorry for the money I spent now it's up! It's just so beautiful and exactly what I wanted and how I imagined it. It was delivered the next day in a surprisingly small but very heavy box and I took to building it straight away. I'm a woman in my 40s and it took me just over 2 hours to build - but I did have to ask my son for help at one point. So... Building it is not exactly difficult at all, the instructions that come with it aren't the clearest, but I had already watched some videos on YouTube in anticipation. Those really help and I recommend watching a couple of assemblies to familiarise yourself. I love a bit of DIY and so I wasn't put off by a bit of a challenge - but my goodness, putting those bottom cross brace bars in needed a lot more muscle than I have on my own! It was by far the most difficult part and I couldn't have done it without my son helping. The rest of the assembly was simply child's play, only sliding the panels in was slightly fiddly, but still didn't slow me down. Preparing and setting up the pump/filter was also fine, as was attaching it to the waterfall. Which is where I come to the one minor design fault! If I was on the design team for these ponds, I would definitely not put the waterfall up as high. Give it a different shape, maybe, but not up that high. There is nothing relaxing about the sound of water bladdering down at the speed it comes out of there. You can turn down the flow, but it still is very loud even turned down as small as it can go before it stops flowing. This is the only downside to this I can find, really. I'm not too sure what I'm going to do about it yet, the noise might get quite irritating after a while. Apart from this I am very pleased with my splurge, I can't wait for it to settle in so I can put a few fishies in there.
