MiLocks XF-02SN Digital Deadbolt Door Lock with Keyless Entry via Remote Control and Keypad Code for Exterior Doors

So far I have bought two of these locks. The first one work great right out of the box. The second one not so much. The LOCK button did not work. All other buttons functioned properly. The remote worked properly. Called the company, left a message and got no response. Then I used their warranty form on their Internet site to report the problem. About a week later a new keypad showed up in the mail. Just the keypad. No instructions or anything.The problem with this is that the rubber gasket and foam pad on the back of the lock is glued to the back of the existing keyboard. Trying to peel it off to put it on the new keyboard resulted in a torn gasket. Wishing they would have included a new gasket and foam pad with the keyboard. I went to a hobby store and bought a piece of foam gasket material to use instead.Seems their quality control is a bit inconsistent. However, when the lock works, it's great. The keypad buttons are nice and firm to the touch and the remote works from quite a distance away. I can actuate the lock from inside my house to my shop about 50' feet away using the remote, which is just what I wanted.A comment on other reviews stated the lock didn't have enough power to actuate the lock. I experienced this on the second install and it was caused my the dead bolt mechanism being in a bit of a bind when I installed it in the side of the door. Once I solved that the lock worked fine.

There were issues with getting everything to work correctly. The remote works great and to unlock the door with the keypad, you hit the open button after putting in the code. I will call the manufacturer to see if this is a reverse polarity of some sort. Hopefully I can get it fixed without taking the whole thing down again. I am a MiLocks customer for life. I have never seen a company stand behind its product like this company does! In the 3 years that I have had the lock, I have reached out twice to purchase a replacement part admitting that the most likely reason for the failure was something I did and within hours they answered saying that the part was on the way, no charge and no questions asked. Amazing! I love the company and the product.

My locksmith had no problem installing the lock. A month later, the door wouldn't open! We could hear the motor trying, but it just wouldn't open. Another locksmith call and bill. The lock worked for a week or two, and is now falling again, so locksmith will be coming again. THIS IS HORRIFIC! DON'T CHOOSE THIS LOCK!

Batteries tend to go too quickly. MUST have a key to unlock. No exterior emergency electric access(like 9v batteries)

I would have given them. 5 stars, but we found some flaws that weren't covered in the instructions. Now granted my husband is typical, he didn't read the installation thoroughly & missed the right/left opening/closing. If you get it wrong the bolt will open just by pushing the unlock button, INPORTANT TO KNOW!Also multiple units can be put on the same fob, but NOT A GOOD IDEA! The wavelength is so strong that ALL of the locks opened at once. We have 4 installed in a 1900 sq ft home. If I needed to get in to get away from someone & hit the fob button EVERY DOOR IN THE HOUSE UNLOCKED! Not good. So we had to put them on different fobs. Thankfully we found this out before leaving the house.Otherwise these are fabulous units sturdy, attractive & work very well. I would buy them again & recommend they to anyone.

Batteries die very quickly. Locks are underpowered and often don't unlock when the code is entered. Waste of money.
