All-In-One at this price? Unbelievable!
I'll be honest: As an audiophile, this thing is borderline insane. High quality parts, low noise and distortion, and it does EVERYTHING. What do I mean by everything? Inputs. You can basically input anything. HDMI Arc, USB, Toslink, even RCA! Easily controlled volume and mute with my TV's remote using HDMI Arc. It has a DAC, and while it's not state of the art, it produces neutral sound with no audible noise or distortion. Amplifier isn't the strongest but more than enough for most bookshelf speakers at 100 watts. If you use a Subwoofer, you'll want to set a high pass filter at which point your bookshelf speakers will have all the power they need without wasting it on sub-bass they're not built for. Ah, but how do I set a low pass? Easy! This baby comes with built in DSP! Not garbage DSP with a bass/treble knob, but fully integrated separate left and right parametric Equalizers and both gain and high pass settings for the subwoofer pre-out! DSP like this normally costs $400 or so on its own, but here we have it built into an All-In-One and it works beautifully. I could gush even more. It weights a decent amount because the power brick is built in, the connectivity is through the roof, it's solid as a rock, the app works without issue and offers tons of other streaming... Yeah, whatever. Just buy it. It's great.

Compact and Affordable: WiiM Delivers Quality Audio
I was looking for a compact amplifier to fit a small space in our bedroom for music and TV audio. The WiiM streaming amplifier caught my attention with its great reviews and budget-friendly price of under $240. I hadn’t heard of the brand before, but I’m impressed with its solid build quality and performance. Setup was straightforward, especially with the user-friendly WiiM app. The amplifier delivers good sound quality with plenty of bass options, and it has enough power to drive our bookshelf speakers and subwoofer effectively. I’ve streamed music from Apple Music and Amazon Alexa via Bluetooth, and it works flawlessly. While I haven’t tried its multi-room audio feature to broadcast music throughout the house, I’m happy with its audio capabilities for our needs. Overall, this amplifier offers excellent value for money, combining good quality and versatility at a reasonable price.

Excellent product, excellent value over Sonos amp
I went looking for an amp with HDMI arc. I needed a small unit due to space limitations and the Sonos Amp fit perfectly. It's worked great for quite a while now. Fast forward to December 2023 when my Yamaha home theatre receiver started acting up. I don't use it for anything but delivering audio to my speakers via HDMI arc from my TV. It was time for another Sonos Amp, but another $900 CAD? Its a great product but I really didn't want to spend that much again. Then I found this amp. It's exactly what I needed and wanted. It works great. Has its own remote. HDMI arc and the auto switching between a streaming source or HDMI arc works great. Really simple and easy to use. Simple set up. I'm most impressed by the EQ. The Sonos amp has bass and treble controls, while this one has a graphic EQ or parametric eq (you can switch between either). The parametric EQ is what i ended up using and it truly works excellent. This amp is very pleasing to my ears (maybe more so than the Sonos) on the same set of speakers (Paradigm Mini Monitor v5). The only con with this amp is the power output is half that of the Sonos. It doesn't quite have the same punch at increased listening levels that the Sonos does. When hooked up to the large floor speakers, this is more noticeable. The Sonos has more punch and drives those speakers (Paradigm Monitor 9 v3) much better. This is the only real thing of note. For my application, the Wiim Amp works perfectly and I would 100% buy another. Great product.

Media streaming hub
WiiM is a great way to streamline your audio set up with your existing audio equipment. I have Focal bookshelf speakers, TV, turntable and Google/Amazon ecosystem. WiiM has replaced a number of devices that used to connect together my system and do the same job. Less wires and more space! Important factors for me were Ethernet/wifi network access with Google/Amazon account hookup. WiiM is now set up in my Google home as a default "speaker" for my living room and I can ask another device, such as my phone, Google Mini, or any other Google assistant or Alexa enabled device to play my music, which then will be played from WiiM through my bookshelf speakers. I also like that this is a class d amp, which means that it is not consuming energy when not in use and you don't have to power it on or off as it recognizes the input and wakes itself up when needed and goes to sleep afterwards. When I turn my TV on, the WiiM automatically detects the new input and my TV is playing also though my speakers. The sound is great and the equalizer is available in the app if you need to adjust. Set up was easy. I gave 4 stars because for two reasons: 1) it didn't work well with hdmi arc output of my TV set. It connects to it and recognizes tv and remote control, but when you turn TV off and then back on, the sound is lost. It might not necessarily be the WiiM 's fault. From my research I understood that, depending on your tv make and model, you might have different experience. I tried many suggested remedies on Reddit and elsewhere, but nothing worked. I ended up with connecting my TV to WiiM via Bluetooth which was easy, but it doesn't give you all the bells and whistles of the modern hi-fi tv experience that some might be really going after these days. I do not know what I am missing and therefore fairly happy with the sound from TV via Bluetooth as a source. 2) I contacted WiiM's support regarding HDMI ARC issues and they got back to me right away. After understanding the details of the issue they stopped responding. Not cool. At least they should have said that there is no solution for my issue. Otherwise it is a great device to upgrade your audio set up.

I have long wanted to stream CD quality music but could not justify the cost of a pair of Amazon Echo Studios, or pair of Sonos etc. Streaming to Amazon Echo shows, Dots etc has always sounded disappointing. Even plugging an echo using the headphone outs into the rear of a decent amp connected to good quality passive speakers sounded muddy. I also already had some pretty decent passive speakers that it seemed a shame not to make use of. For £299 I could hook up my older audio kit. When I read about this device being released it ticked all my boxes and in short I am very impressed with sound quality, ease of use and build quality. Setup was quick, firmware updates are seamless. The supplied remote control is great with a built in push-button microphone to control the Wiim using Alexa integration. This too works very well. You do not have to use the app on your phone to control the Wiim amp, but it is required for setup and updates. So I now have the Wiim amp connected to a pair of decent passive speakers, and the Wiim streams HD and Ultra HD music from my Amazon Music account (free 3 month subscription right now!). And it sounds brilliant. As good as my actual CD player. It can also stream FLAC files ripped from my old CD collection on a memory stick in the rear USB (yet to try this, only had it one day). Great if you have more obscure old CDs that are not streamed by Amazon. Special mention for the Wiim Home app - it just works really well, very neat. A nice feature is that you can install it on multiple android phones and they all retain independent control of the Wiim amp (ie my wife can use her phone to change what I is playing). They all show what is currently playing with album art, current audio quality, EQ etc. One other advantage for me is that the Wiim amp automatically goes to standby with a very low power usage when inactive (unlike my old amp that I would inevitably forget to switch off). One thing I have not managed to figure out is how to show what is playing on the Wiim amp on my old Echo Show. I have read it can be done using the Amazon Alexa app and setting up Combine speakers with Multi-room music (MRM) but this might compromise audio quality at the present time (I also read a fix to the lower audio quality when used this way is planned). If you buy this get a couple of AAA batteries for the remote (they are not supplied and you need the remote to complete setup). To summarise - amazing functionality, value and quality. Nothing not to like. Update: To address a few issues reported in other reviews: 1. “In standby, the amplifier heats up and consumes about 8 W”. This was fixed in a recent firmware update. I read that the power usage in standby is now about 3W. In standby my Wiim Amp is only slightly warm to the touch. 2. “there is a constant hum audible from the chassis”. My Wiim amp produces no audible hum in standby. On the Wiim forum Wiim Support stated “A very small number of units from our first manufacturing batch exhibit a low humming noise due to the power transformer. This issue has been resolved in subsequent batches. “.

Very tidy piece of kit. Hooked up to passive speakers, creatifn a super sound bar / hifi. Auto switches to tv when tv comes on. Wiim app very good for music. Listen to music a lot more than with Amazon echo etc. I like the remove and being able to set fav play lists to the numbered buttons.
