Great quality, easy to work with. They are sturdy even without the gravel but once the gravel is in and it’s wackerplated, these things are solidIt’s a proper hard standing, not what you’d usually get with gravel alone. Definitely would never have gravel for driveways or footpaths if I didn’t have these. These also worked out to be the cheapest grids around if you’re buying a large quantityFor those interested, 50+ square meter driveway, 100mm of dolomite hardcore, grids and to fill this area it was just over 4 dumpy bags of 20mm limestone chippings

I recently decided to revamp my garden path and stumbled upon Ecodeck Gravel Grids during my search for a durable solution. It came in time and worked very well. Nice and solid. Lost one star as the underlay it came with was not covering the full 15 m2 I ordered so I had to use some plastic bags as I ran out of time to finish the project.

Genuinely wasn't expecting much from these for the price so I was really impressed when I actually got hold of them.Unlike some reviewers mine all arrived without any breakages which is great but I would agree that the membrane provided isn't really sufficient, fortunately I didn't need this anyway so just considered it a bonus for some other project.I bought these because the gravel on my drive is way too deep and cars end up getting bogged down incredibly easilly, the aim was for these to provide a more solid surface which would prevent cars from digging in to the gravel. They were incredibly easy to install, I simply scraped back the top layer of gravel, placed these on top making sure to orient them the same way to make it easy to lock them into one another and then raked the gravel slowly back over them allowing it to fall into the holes. Despite their strength they were also very easy to cut to shape allowing me to fit them right up to the edge of the drive and alongside a diagonal path, an angle grinder with a multi material disc would be my reccomendation but you could do it with a saw of some decription easilly enough.Once complete you can instantly tell the difference as even walking on the gravel was easier, only time will tell how it holds up against cars but if there are any issues then I'll update accordingly.In summary these things are cheaper than rival products, easy to install and very effective. I would highly reccommend them and will likely use them again if I decide to do other areas.
