Works as described. Limited smell. Easy to process. Parts come out good.

My go-to resin for my company. It performs exceptionally well for tabletop miniatures as well as larger prints like giants, monsters, and vehicles. Warping is minimal (around 95% success rate), and the odor is very mild compared to many other resins — especially Elegoo 8K Standard, which is by far the worst-smelling resin I’ve used. I would easily give this resin 5 out of 5 stars, with one small caveat: after curing, the prints are about as brittle as standard resin. This is not an issue before curing, however — the resin is very flexible at that stage, making support removal effortless. Supports peel off cleanly, and prints never break during cleanup. Just keep in mind that this flexibility is before the final cure.

I’m new to 3d printing, I have a Saturn 8k printer which has the build plate capacity for some larger scale table top miniature creatures and terrain. After a week of delight printing 28mm minis with standard resin I was eager to try printing some gloriously colossal dragons. I chose some models that were probably not the best for beginners, having lots of delicate features, very long and thin antennas, horns, whiskers, stuff like that. I was clumsily breaking all these details in post print clean up and assembly. Among other learning, I thought to try a more durable resin to see if I could be more successful. I had ordered a translucent standard resin marketed on Amazon under the name Jayo that I was pleased with, I had noticed on the resin bottle label it was licensed under Sunlu, what precisely that means, I can’t be certain, but I suspected it was simply that Jayo produces and sells resins based on Sunlu formulas. Having experienced good results with that product, when I saw the Sunlu ABS-like resin offered at such a low price for the 2000 ml size package, I felt it was worth giving it a try. I had never used another abs-like resin before so I can’t say it is or is not as good as the other brand that may cost 2 to 3x as much, but what I can tell you is that I am pleased with how this abs-like resin is performing in my application. It is a thicker viscosity than standard resin and following the results of two benchmark prints, I had to adjust my exposure time up 0.5 seconds, but that was all it took to start printing successful large scale models with details that can stand up to my fumbling! The new prints had much greater flex and durability, I dropped a 12 hour print on the hardwood floor after taking it out of the UV curing box and it survived without loosing horn or claw! The resin comes very well packaged, the jug is sealed in a bag, inside a fitted air bubble sleeve inside a cardboard box. The 2 liter jug is an elongate shape that is easy to hold while pouring and is stable when returning resin through a funnel. The resin came with some funnel filters also, a nice surprise. The Sunlu ABS-like resin seems more consistent from the bottle, like it stays well blended better, than the standard resin I have used. Even when I add more of this resin to a vat I have printed from a couple times, when I mix it with the silicone spatula it seems to combine more readily, at least from the visual perspective. I see the same fine details in my prints, it washes just as easily and does not have any more odor than the standard resin I have been using but it is noticeably more durable…and yet somehow actually costs less. I haven’t found anything to dislike about this resin and at the cost, I can’t see a reason not to use it for all my minis and enjoy a little extra klutz insurance. Maybe other ABS resins are better- I would not know, but for a hobby printer creating miniatures, this resin meets all my needs and expectations while the lower cost allows me to print more stuff than I could possibly paint in a lifetime. Try it, you’ll like it!

TL;DR: After years of frustration with mediocre, brittle, overpriced resins from every brand imaginable, I’ve finally found the one. Sunlu 14K ABS-Like Grey Resin is hands down the best resin I’ve ever used — incredible detail, reliable strength, easy clean-up, fast and painless calibration. The price might not be as ‘cheap’ as some sales you’ll see on Elegoo and Anycubic, but it’s worth every penny and then some. Stop wasting money on sub-par resins and grab this. You won’t regret it. Full Review: How do I even begin to explain just how good this resin is? I’ve been printing for a while now, and between owning two printers — the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra (fantastic machine) and the Anycubic M7 Pro (which, in my opinion, is utterly disappointing — do yourself a favour and stick with Elegoo) — I’ve easily spent hundreds, maybe even thousands, trying to find a resin that actually delivers on its promises. I’ve tested pretty much every brand you can name. Elegoo, Anycubic, Phrozen, Siraya, Nova3D, and even Sunlu’s own standard resin (which I absolutely do not recommend). Until now, everything has been a compromise — either the detail was muddy, the prints were brittle, calibration was a nightmare, or the clean-up was messy and tedious. Then, I finally gave Sunlu’s 14K ABS-Like Grey Resin a shot… and it’s been an absolute game-changer. The level of detail this resin captures is genuinely incredible. Every line, crease, and surface texture pops beautifully. The grey colour I bought is perfect — light enough to clearly see the details before priming but with enough contrast and shadow to spot imperfections. It’s ideal for inspecting miniatures, scale models, or prototypes before paint even touches them. Now, about the price. Let’s be honest — it’s not quite the bargain some people make it out to be. The issue is that, for the last 100 days or so, it’s held steady at its full price without any real sales. When you break it down per KG (since it’s sold in 3KG bottles), it doesn’t seem massively cheaper than other brands, especially when Elegoo and Anycubic run constant discounts. But here’s the thing — this resin is worth every single penny. In fact, it’s worth more than what it costs. One of the biggest selling points for me was how easy this resin was to calibrate. After just two plates worth of calibration prints, I was dialled in and ready to go. Compare that to the absolute nightmare I had with Elegoo’s ABS-Like 8K resin — which felt borderline impossible to get right — and this was a breath of fresh air. Clean-up is a dream as well. It has a lovely viscosity, not too thick, not too runny, and it doesn’t instantly cling to every surface it touches like some other resins. A simple wipe down and you’re done. No frustrating residue left behind, no endless isopropyl scrubbing. As for durability — my prints have been solid and reliable, no random splitting, cracking, or soft spots. They feel strong in hand and hold their detail beautifully even before curing. I’ve uploaded a bunch of pictures to show off the results, and I honestly wish I’d discovered this sooner instead of burning money on so many disappointing alternatives. I can’t speak to Sunlu’s customer service, and frankly, that’s probably a good thing. The nightmare experiences I’ve had with Elegoo and Anycubic’s convoluted, slow, and often unhelpful customer support teams have been enough for a lifetime. The fact I haven’t had to contact Sunlu at all speaks volumes about the quality and reliability of this resin. In short — this stuff is brilliant. Do yourself a favour and buy it. In fact, grab two of the 3KG bottles: one to start printing with now, and one to have ready for when you inevitably burn through the first bottle within a few days. I’ve found my new daily resin, and I’m not looking back. Thank you, Sunlu, for finally delivering the resin I’ve been chasing for years.
