Quality
Used this a few times. Its heavy duty and rigidly built. Not flimsy. They did not skimp on materials. Worth money and a must if you make log cabin furniture. Well Done!

Modern shaving horse
This is a decent tool for the money, although I advise to purchase the larger version made by Lumberjack. Without these tools it is just about impossible to cut tenons with a heavy corded electric drill. The torque is just too much. Would like to see a kit with the larger vise, slide and drill made available. I purchased everything separately and while tenons can be made with manual saws and draw knives it is a time consuming process also requiring a shaving horse.

Fantastic Clamp!
I used this while making log post, balusters, and handrails in my cabin. I added a small piece of rubber sheet (1/16" thick) to help secure the logs while I cut the tenons. Then I used it on my drill press while I cut the holes at 38 degrees. There was absolutely no slippage and no damage while I cut 1", 1-1/2", and 2" tenons or when I drilled the holes. It was very fast and easy to use saving many hours over the course of the project. The holder is made from thick steel and the quality is excellent. I can highly recommend this item.

I wanted to get into wood shaping and this is the perfect hold fast.

so so !
it works but its clumsy! you have to spin down for each log, and maintain the right angle with the different slot positions for each log. just seems like there's a better way, when I'm in the shop i just use my quick release vice.

Works great unfortunately the first purchase did not include the bag with all the hardware! So had to send it back and reorder but the replacement arrived in 3 days so that's a plus. It really holds the spindle in place so you can peel them with your draw knife.
