This set is an excellent introduction into using MC-4 connectors and should provide a sufficient number of connectors and contacts to meet standard starter or intermediate systems. The Crimpers worked really well (Hint: set the pin into the crimper and slight crimp before inserting the wire - this makes sure the pin will crimp properly). There is only one size of pin (12 - 10 gauge) and the crimper will also only handle that size. However, most solar cabling using MC-4 connectors are 10 or 12 gauge wires.

Perfect! I used this to install on 10awg wire and it worked out great. Came with enough connectors to wire up my 2 panels, and have spear connectors. I like the case it comes in. Overall good value and well made.

There were no connectors on our RVs solar panel. Basically hardwired. That made any maintenance difficult. This kit has almost everything we needed to install connectors to make panel removal and installation a breeze. Online research on how to install the connectors was all that was needed to learn how to install. Very easy IMHO. The price of the kit was worth it for us. Sure beats buying just the connectors and trying to install them on the cheap and run into problems. The crimper worked as it should. Did have to squeeze the crimp tabs on the connector pins slightly to fit the tool a little better. We needed to supply wire strippers. Unknown about the connector housings quality. Seem fine. But I am no solar expert. Glad we bought it!

I have used up almost all of the mc4 connectors with this kit since purchasing it. I almost had a house fire today with a cheap PV disconnect switch, and thanks to this crimping tool and connectors, I was able to fix the issue! Very highly recommended!

Are used it and prepped for hands on the cables and it worked just fine so I would advise anybody to have it

This is the first time I've used a crimping tool and this one from Eco-Worthy works great and is simple to use. I'd buy it again.

I'm giving a 4 for the product and a zero for the documentation. There is no documentation. There is an accompanying video which has a guy using a lot of words, but saying absolutely nothing that is useful.So, here's what is informationally lacking that you will need when you go to use the product. There are 3 grooves in which you can place the pin for crimping. They aren't marked, but if you look real close you can see a very slight difference in the depth of the die giving you a groove for 10awg, 12awg, 14awg. The number 10awg groove is closest to the handle. These grooves should be marked for easy identification.Next you'll be wondering if there is a proper way to insert the pin into the crimper prior to crimping. And it turns out there is a proper way. You'll want to insert the cradel of the pin into the cradle side of the die with the cradle of the pin resting in the cradle of the die. It would be so simple to insert a sheet of paper with this information and by doing so eliminate a lot of guesswork on the part of the customer.Hopefully the distributor of the item will read this review and take some action.
