Q: How durable is this? How long does it "live" I had a similar collar - used 6-9 times per day. Lived about 2 or 3 weeks

Hi Karen. I have had my inflatable collar for 3 weeks. I use it 2 to 3 times a day I find this product to be strong and easy to use, and when not in use I keep it in a safe place away from anything sharp. In addition, I attend physical therapy per my neurosurgeon, and part of my treatment includes cervical traction. I would follow your doctor's instructions for use of your collar, and wish you healing.

Q: what is the range of pressure on this device?

I use mine to elevate my head, off my crushed disc. It works really well, but you have to do it slowly, to just where the pressure is relieved. And don't keep it on too long. 15 to 20 minutes, max.

Q: Can you use this lying down?

Technically you can use this lying down as it will neither interfere with the inflation nor cause undue neck constriction. I would proceed with caution-see below.I have tried it lying down, but note that your neck would become elevated and head tilted back. It is this curvy unnatural position which might be counterproductive to your intended purpose of using this device.
