This small automatic fire extinguisher is an excellent product for extra protection in places that are often overlooked. I installed one near my car battery and another in a small power cabinet at home. It was easy to mount using the adhesive backing and feels secure. I really like that it activates automatically at high temperatures, so I don’t have to worry about checking or replacing it often. The compact size makes it perfect for tight spaces and doesn’t get in the way. It gives me confidence that small fires will be stopped quickly before they spread. A great investment for safety and peace of mind.

I will preface in saying I used to be a professional firefighter for a large department in the Washington DC area. That doesn't qualify me to speak intelligently about this item, but I did ask several former coworkers about their opinion of these and they thought they were a great idea...asked for the link. I will say the instructions state "electronic initiator valid for 10 years", and there is a 'made on' date of 6/21/2024 on all 4 that I purchased on 3/30/2025. Item is a very solid steel construction, no defects no lazy crimps, no defects in the punches or paint. Uses 3M VHB tape on the bottom...so cursory look indicates quality materials and good but simple workmanship. I can see a smaller "puck" inside and two insulated wires that appear to be about 14 gauge. Have not tested, but bought multiple so I can take one apart to see what is inside. I intend to use these inside a metal storage cabinet that stores multiple solvents. Sticking one or two onto the underside of each shelf should be sufficient. Their effectiveness will be exponentially increased if the cabinet stays closed and is relatively airtight. Bottom Line: yes, highly recommended. For $30-$40, the peace of mind should be worth it even if they inventively fail to completely extinguish suppress a blaze. I imagine they will at least buy time in a situation where stored items in a cabinet catch on fire or a charging battery overheats....the smoke detector should go off and the open flames will at least be beaten back a bit.

Might seem like a small investment for something smaller than a hockey puck. But what's it cost for peace of mind. We live in a travel trailer so real tight quarters alot of stuff going on all the time and we pretty much rely on these space heaters. We'll they still run even if we are not home so will end up buying probably 5 more to install around the house.

It’s hard to review these fully absent testing them in an actual fire which, thankfully, hasn’t happened. Assuming they work properly, they’re a great concept and are just what I was looking for. I’m using them in a fireproof cabinet where I charge all my tool batteries since they’re known to malfunction and combust now and then. But this would be good in other places like engine compartments and battery compartments in boats and vehicles. Excellent product for a fair price.

I had no idea these types of fire extinguishers existed. I ordered this to place in my shed with my power tool batteries. I am constantly cycling and charging batteries which is always a concern of mine. If there is a defect in a battery, it will reach critical temperatures that can start a fire. This fire extinguisher has now put my mind at ease.
