That's Not My Momma's Milk : Julia Barcalow, Kayleigh Castle, Kayleigh Castle: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Great book to introduce who milk belongs to - Finally, a book that explains pretty simply that milk belongs to the child of the person who gave the milk! The pictures are simple. The words are repetitive. The message is clear. A great introduction for little ones to the science of milk production and compassion. Can be used from birth as the pictures are fun and the story itself is short. My 2.5 yr old loves looking at this one and gets excited when we get to the human page and the baby is breastfeeding. Something we just dont see often enough. Also a good one for planting the seed of a plant based diet/vegan for children Review: Simple message, delivered clearly with adorable pictures - So good. Love that its hardback because its toddler proof. Great for using proper names of "baby animals" simple clear and to the point. My 2year old asks to read the "mama cow book" at least 5 times a day since we bought it.

Lovely book for little vegans
My 10 month old absolutely loves this book. We read it every night before bed, he gets upset if I try to read him anything else! He smiles and gets excited when he sees the picture of the baby breastfeeding. It's a lovely, well illustrated book.

A long-standing favourite
My 19 month old daughter has enjoyed this book for over a year. Apart from the primary message, it teaches her the names of baby animals. Every time she reads it she wants to have a little feed herself - even while we are still going through the animal pages - which showed me she understood it from a young age.

Great book, lovely pics and great message :)
Lovely book, well written and the pictures are great. My 19 month old has learned multiple animals and sounds because of this book. Also a lovely message to teach young ones, that it is their milk not ours.:)

Cute book
Sweet little book for the little ones. Cute illustrations and a easy enough storyline to inspire and teach toddlers to be compassionate.

Bedtime story book
We absolutely love this book! This is our go to bedtime book. It’s such a lovely book to read before breastfeeding and so lovely to reference mama’s milk. 100% my daughter favourite book!

Lovely book with a positive message
A great, nicely illustrated little book which introduces animals and their young, with a gentle vegan message that all animals’ milk is for their own babies and nobody else’s. My 15 month old loves it.

I absolutely adore this book, and so does my 17 month old son. It's a beautiful book with adorable pictures of animals and their babies, and it really grabs my son's attention. He loves pointing out all the animals, and when he gets to the end with the human baby and mom, he immediately recognizes the nursing baby and usually asks me for milk too. This book has a positive message for toddlers, and is age-appropriate without taking on any of the darker themes of other kids vegan books I've seen. I highly recommend this book for vegan families who want a cute and positive way to introduce the concept to young toddlers and kids.

Es un libro pequeñito y de hojas duras; ideal para bebes. La historia es muy bonita.

Love this book so much!!!! My 3 year old niece is obsessed with it. Fantastic, simple and innocent way to help our little ones make the connection between a mother’s milk being for her baby, and only her baby.

My favorite vegan children's book. It's pro breastfeeding and is easy to understand. My baby loves all the different animals with their babies. She gets excited when she sees the human mama with her baby. This book would be a great baby shower gift for a vegan mama.
