BNF 75 (British National Formulary) March 2018

I decided to update my aging copy of BNF but could not justify the huge cost of the current edition, especially as it is only for casual reference to identify drug interactions and uses of medication. This copy is about a year old but fully meets my needs. It is as has always been the case very well laid out and gives in depth information invaluable to anyone dealing with medication, which is why it is used so extensively by medical professionals. The copy that I received is a lot thicker than the earlier edition that I had been using and though second hand (from a medical library) was like new. Anybody who is not actually prescribing medication and just needs a reference guide to medications used this is a great option as it was a fraction of the cost of the most up to date edition which I understand would be essential for those who need the most upto the minute drugs reference.

I haven't bought the BNF since my wife died ten years ago but have bought this version for my own benefit. It is more expensive, and much fatter, than the previous ones I have but it is invaluable if you want to know anything about your medication. It's a "warts and all" tome and probably not for the easily worried or faint hearted but read with common sense in is an excellent reference book.
