We bought these crab/lobster crackers for crab legs. At first glance they appeared to be rather light weight but they performed their function well- easy to use and effective in cracking both the largest and smallest sections of the crab legs. The small forks (included in the set) were of minimal use. The prongs don’t have enough of an angle to grab and hold to pull the meat from inside the shell. However, we are very pleased with the crackers.

Moderate crackers get job done, forks are great. Gifted some crab and had no tools, ordered on Amazon and had same day delivery leading to same day enjoyment of crab

I recently purchased the 8 Pcs Lobster Crackers and Picks Set, and while it does get the job done, it didn’t quite meet all my expectations. As someone who loves seafood, I was looking forward to using these tools, and while they worked fine, there are a few things to consider. Pros: Works Well for Most Shellfish: The crackers and picks work just fine for cracking open crab legs and lobster claws. The picks are particularly handy for getting every last bit of meat out of the shell, and the crackers apply enough pressure to break through tough shells. Good Value for the Price: The set includes 4 lobster crackers and 4 seafood picks, which is nice for sharing seafood meals with others. For the price, it’s a decent number of tools to cover a seafood dinner for a group. Easy to Use and Clean: The tools are simple to use, even for beginners, and they clean up easily after use. A quick wash or a trip through the dishwasher, and they’re ready for the next seafood feast. Cons: Flimsy Construction: The biggest downside for me was the build quality. While the stainless steel is decent, the crackers feel a bit flimsy, and I’m not sure how well they will hold up with heavy use. I was a little concerned about the possibility of them bending or breaking, especially with tougher shells. Larger Size Might Be Overkill for Smaller Shellfish: The crackers are a bit on the larger side, which works well for bigger lobsters and crabs but can feel a bit too bulky for smaller shellfish like shrimp. It’s not a huge issue, but it can be a bit cumbersome for more delicate seafood. Overall: The 8 Pcs Lobster Crackers and Picks Set is a decent option for the price, but it’s not the most durable set out there. It works well enough for casual seafood dinners, but if you’re looking for something that will last longer or feel more solid in hand, you might want to consider other options. For the price, though, it gets the job done and is good enough for less frequent use.
