Great Product at a Great Price!
Works great and a better price than other brands. My dog has immune mediated polyarthritis and drags his right front paw along the sidewalk when we go for walks. Two of the nails on that paw were scraped to the quick and when I tried shoes they just made him trip. These were really hard to apply at first because the 2 nails were so short but after a month of use (and replacing the nails 3 time) his nails have grown out a lot and they stay on really well.

Did not work
Bought these for our senior dog. We have vinyl floors. The noise they make is loud. They did not help the dog to have a better grip. When trying to remove them it was a very painful process as the glue really holds in place and the dog is not happy with the removal process. I had to use a sharp knife to slowly peel off each of them. Don't waste your time and money on this

Perfectly Functional, with a Caveat
I want to preface this review by saying that I have a 60lb, 2 year-old Belgian Malinois who is very HIGHLY active. His high energy often translates into jumping up when greeting people or when he gets overly excited (as when he's playing). This isn't usually much of an issue, but I live with two elderly people with paper-thin skin and he has cut them several times simply by grazing them. I was a little skeptical about these at first, but after about two weeks I'm sold. The vinyl caps apply easily (though I'm still not entirely comfortable using what basically amounts to superglue on my pet) and so far, only one has come off. I was worried that my dog would try to chew them off, but he only sniffed at them a little before going about his regular activities once the adhesive had dried. The only real irritation I have with these so far is how ambiguous the sizing is. If you go to the soft-claws website, they do have a sizing chart that you can print out and match to your dog's nail size, which helps. I almost ordered two sizes too small because I couldn't believe my lithe little dog needed and XXL in anything--he barely wears a medium-sized collar! I'm glad I did check the site, though, because the XXL fits nearly perfectly, and I would rather have them slightly large than too small. They also don't look nearly as ridiculous in person as they do in the example picture. I hardly even notice them unless I'm checking my dog's feet deliberately. Though they are on the expensive side, I have found only the front claw covers are necessary at any one time, so one box should last quite awhile. They are less expensive through Amazon than the manufacturer's site, and if you have Prime, the free shipping makes it a clear choice who to order from. The only remaining concern I have is about trimming his nails. They say in their literature that these can last well over a month, which is fine, but I'd rather not go quite that long without trimming my dog's nails. It does say you can dissolve the adhesive with acetone nail polish remover, but I'm less inclined to put that on my dog's feet than I was the superglue, so I suppose we'll see. Overall, a good product that satisfies my needs, with minor reservations. FOLLOW-UP 4/18/2014: Several months in, and these are still performing well. A couple of usage notes, though: 1) Even though it's tempting to put more than the two drops of adhesive the instructions call for into the cap, they become almost impossible to remove. We're on our second round, and while they do come off more frequently only using 2/3 drops, I'd rather replace them more frequently than have to subject my dog to discomfort (and peeling nails) to get them off when his nails need to be trimmed. 2) To get them off the dog's feet, if they haven't come off on their own, the best bet is to trim off the very end of the nail cap, enough that the end of their natural nail is exposed to the air. IF they don't slide off then and there, let the dog run around for a day or two and that natural air channel should loosen or remove the cap on its own. Tried using the acetone to remove the first round (which were really, REALLY stuck on tight), and the amount it took to get the thing off was ridiculous, not something I'm willing to subject my dog (or myself) to ever again. Trust me, use less adhesive and be patient. It works out better for you and the dog, even if you do have to replace the caps a little more frequently.

Buy these now - don't wait for your furniture to be destroyed
I saw these in a cat group I'm part of and loved how cute they look. I wanted to get them for my own cat, but didn't at first because we have never had an issue with her scratching anything, and didn't think it would be fair since they would be purely cosmetic. Then a week ago I found holes ripped in my sofa. I was devastated. My husband tolerates animals for my sake, so anything naughty they do I fear will get them kicked out of the house. Not to mention I've done a pretty amazing job keeping the sofa looking like new as an adhd mother with 3 adhd boys aged 11 years down to 18 months. What upsets me most is that if I'd purchased these to begin with, even if only for looks of cute claws, the couch would still be like new. I did not hesitate again. My cat's history is unknown, she's small and skittish and I think her previous owner's boyfriend found her as a kitten abandoned in a box. Emphasis on skittish. I wasn't sure how well she'd take to these. I feared she'd fight too much to let me put them on then immediately try getting them off. First of all, she wasn't any more squirmy than with her regular nail trims. The caps, in fact, were much easier to put on than it is to clip her nails. Secondly, as soon as they were all on and I released her, she moved on like everything was normal. She didn't shake her paws or lick or bite them or anything. It's been a couple of days and they are all still on. They don't get in the way of her retracting her claws in any way. These really are just on the tip of the nail, the part that remains exposed at all times. I can't speak as to their value, since I haven't had them long enough to see how long they last, however I imagine they would've been well worth their price just to have saved my sofa. I highly recommend Soft Claws. They're quick and easy to apply, don't cause my cat any discomfort, they're cute, and they save my furniture. I even recommend them for purely cosmetic reasons - I sure wish I'd purchased them for that reason in the first place.

Fantastiche! Consiglio!!

They lasted a month the first time around. It seems a little less now that it's cold out, I think they get brittle. Indispensable if you want to save your hardwood floors! Our dog doesn't even know they are on unlike when he wears dog boots!

Came with 3 tubes of glue. All were dried out. Edit: so i bought some crazy glue and gave it a whirl. its not easy to judge how much glue to use, but application was straightforward otherwise. 2 people required: one to handle the glue and nails, one to keep puppy still. The nails looked kinda funny at first but they grew on us. They started falling off the next day however, probably because I didn't use enough glue. The package came with extra nail caps so I may try again before we refinish our floors.

I have to say, doh on this one. My cat is 17 yrs old. We've had a lot of ruined sofas and carpeting. A LOT. Why did I wait so long to try these nail caps out??? Had to take kitty to vet this week and the pretty pink caps got their seal of approval, so much so they took a pic of her toes and posted it on the practice web site / facebook. Once they were placed on kitty's nails, she hardly noticed them. And they go great with her pink collar and grey fur :)
