Great Product at a Great Price!
Works great and a better price than other brands. My dog has immune mediated polyarthritis and drags his right front paw along the sidewalk when we go for walks. Two of the nails on that paw were scraped to the quick and when I tried shoes they just made him trip. These were really hard to apply at first because the 2 nails were so short but after a month of use (and replacing the nails 3 time) his nails have grown out a lot and they stay on really well.

Super cute caps
Adorable claw caps. They do not bother my dog at all. The glue is great and dries quickly. Sizing is right on point. They last quite a while. Super easy to apply. Perfect for dogs who like to paw you or jump. I do wish they were a little cheaper but they work great.

Protection from sharp nails.
Work well but do not always stay on. Somewhat hard to get on. My dog is now trying to chew them off even though he has worn toenail covers for a long time. His nails are very sharp and hard to keep filed and shortened.

Absolutely no
Not only do they not work but they are impossible to get off. The made my dog slip MORE, and it’s now been a month and I haven’t been able to get any of them off to safely clip his nails so it’s even worse now. BAD purchase.

Would not recommend for long term use without breaks between uses.
We purchased these for our 4 year old border collie, in order to protect our hardwood floors. At first, they seemed like an excellent solution - each set lasted appx 2-3 weeks, depending on how hard he ran on them. For a well behaved dog, putting them on wasn't difficult, and I was careful to check the nails afterwards to make sure that no hair had stuck to the caps & that his pads weren't sticking at all - as careful as I was with the glue, sometimes a little would end up coming out. Occasionally a cap would come off & need replacement & eventually he would start to wear the ends of the caps off, signaling it was time to trim his nails & replace the caps. One thing I did observe when changing the caps out, was that the inside of his nails seemed very soft & spongy - I assumed this was normal, considering he wasn't hardening his nails by running around on them anymore. A couple of months in, I started noticing that he was limping. After eliminating the possibility of injury, I started to question the nail caps. We were able to narrow it down to one of his toes - It took a huge amount of patience & care to remove the nail cap, as it was clearly very painful for him. Once removed, I noticed that the core of his nail was hollow and bloody. I left that cap out so that the nail could air out & heal, but within a few days he was limping on another foot. Same issue - removal was clearly very painful for him, and once again it appeared that the core of his nail was almost rotting out. At that point I removed all the caps from his nails & left them off for good. His limping cleared up very quickly & he has very healthy nails again. We will be looking to other solutions to protect our hardwood, as I would never put him through that again. In conclusion, I would use these again if I planned on taking at least a 2 week break between applications in order to let the nails breathe and harden naturally. I would never go straight from one set to the next again.

Buy these now - don't wait for your furniture to be destroyed
I saw these in a cat group I'm part of and loved how cute they look. I wanted to get them for my own cat, but didn't at first because we have never had an issue with her scratching anything, and didn't think it would be fair since they would be purely cosmetic. Then a week ago I found holes ripped in my sofa. I was devastated. My husband tolerates animals for my sake, so anything naughty they do I fear will get them kicked out of the house. Not to mention I've done a pretty amazing job keeping the sofa looking like new as an adhd mother with 3 adhd boys aged 11 years down to 18 months. What upsets me most is that if I'd purchased these to begin with, even if only for looks of cute claws, the couch would still be like new. I did not hesitate again. My cat's history is unknown, she's small and skittish and I think her previous owner's boyfriend found her as a kitten abandoned in a box. Emphasis on skittish. I wasn't sure how well she'd take to these. I feared she'd fight too much to let me put them on then immediately try getting them off. First of all, she wasn't any more squirmy than with her regular nail trims. The caps, in fact, were much easier to put on than it is to clip her nails. Secondly, as soon as they were all on and I released her, she moved on like everything was normal. She didn't shake her paws or lick or bite them or anything. It's been a couple of days and they are all still on. They don't get in the way of her retracting her claws in any way. These really are just on the tip of the nail, the part that remains exposed at all times. I can't speak as to their value, since I haven't had them long enough to see how long they last, however I imagine they would've been well worth their price just to have saved my sofa. I highly recommend Soft Claws. They're quick and easy to apply, don't cause my cat any discomfort, they're cute, and they save my furniture. I even recommend them for purely cosmetic reasons - I sure wish I'd purchased them for that reason in the first place.

Easy, Effective, Worth It!
*Update to the update* I wanted to go ahead and update this review because I’m going to say the 2 caps that fell off were because of user error. We are going on week 4 and she still has all the other caps on her nails! If they haven’t fallen off by week 6 I will remove them myself to replace but I checked them today and they are holding strong! I am still loving these, they are still protecting my furniture and I will continue to buy them! 5 ⭐️ *UPDATE* We got these a week ago and since then 2 of the caps have fallen off but they still seem to do their job? Moved to 4 ⭐️ since they are already falling off 😔 *ORIGINAL* These were delivered yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get them on. We recently rescued a kitten who is now 4m and loves to use my couches as her scratching post 😩. I needed to find a solution and these were it since I refuse to declaw. They were super simple to get on and it’s been a day so far, they are holding strong. She hasn’t been able to scratch the couch like usual so it’s a step in the right direction and I’m really happy with them. I will update this review should any issues arise so I can give the most accurate review but as of right now, 5 ⭐️

Good in theory...not realistic.
While on, these did save our floors and stopped our dog from over scratching her neck. My dog is a 50lb hound mix, so we purchased the xxl caps. Caps were easy to cut and put on. However along with other reviewers I can tell you this item requires too much fine tuning along with too many variables. Hair can be pushed out of the way upon application, however its Inevitable that glue will find its way to some hair once cap is fully applied. So if you take thread scissors to trim hair before hand you'll be in the clear. Second, some reviewers state these caps make their dogs nail beds sore, this is due to the owners not measuring then trimming the caps before application (ie user error). Third, some reviewers state that their dogs nails become infected. This is due to poor fitting and lack of glue to fully fill the cap on the inside. Once a bit of water/mud/bacteria get in there it's unhygienic to leave them on. All in all I'd say if you have a purely inside dog these might work, so long as you are meticulous with the application and your dog is obedient enough to let you. Our dog had them on for 2 days. On the second day she got to play outside. After inspection I found moisture and mud inside the caps. We CAREFULLY took a pair of needle nose tweezers and circled the nail until we could pull them off. Luckily our dog is very passive and was very forgiving during this process. To summarize : be sure not to apply too long of caps, trim/remove hair for safe and easy application, and be weary of moisture(even baths). If you can manage that then these are for you. However, we won't be purchasing these again.
