Fantastic router for the money
I recently got BRSK fibre internet which is great, the router that came with it was only WiFi 5 though, which was fine but WiFi 6 is better for handling households with many devices. As we have ring doorbells, smart light bulbs, ipads smart tv's etc I figured it was worth upgrading the router immediately. Although I had no real complaints with the basic router, the Asus one is a clear upgrade giving better speed and range. We have a small 3 bedroom house (modern, thin walls) and the signal is fine in all areas and out to the garden too. The setup is probably the best part - scan qr code, download app, the app couldn't be more user friendly, takes you throught step by step and does everything for you. 5 stars from me!

Good speed and great value for wifi 6
Works very well as a repeater. Bought as a repeater for a Virgin Media Hub to help strengthen the signal to the upstairs at the house limits. Easy to setup and excellent performance. Shall be buying more Asus devices as and when I need them in the future.

Good WiFi range and stability at an affordable price.
After an initial hiccup the RT-AX52 has been rock solid for me. The hiccup was that it would sometimes lose the 2.4 ghz WiFi completely. It wouldn't even show up in the list of WiFi connections to connect to on my iPhone. After a couple of reboots of the router it came back and I was able to connect to it without issue and it's been faultless ever since (nearly 3 months). That hiccup only happened on the first day of receiving it and setting it up.I can't give a full in-depth review because I'm using it in Access Point mode which disables a lot of the router functions such as QOS, VPN, Alexa integration, etc. It has many of the same functions and features as my more powerful ASUS RT-AXE7800 router and there's no reason to believe the RT-AX52 will be any less competent. As an access point it functions very well. I have it set up in a shed at the top of the garden (55 metres/180 feet) away. The internet connection is coming from a very long ethernet cable connected between a switch in the house and another switch in the shed. From there the RT-AX52 is connected via a short ethernet cable to the shed switch. When I plug a laptop in to one of the RT-AX52's LAN ports and run SpeedTest I get my full 1gig download speed and maximum upload speed. When I unplug that short ethernet cable and connect to the WiFi speeds are great. Obviously, speeds are at their very best when closer to the router/access point and connected to 5ghz WiFi but even when walking 20-30 metres away from the router I stay connected to the 5 ghz network and have usable speeds. The 2.4ghz band gives me full garden coverage and more than adequate speeds. I was able to play YouTube videos in 1080p, 2K and 4K resolutions without any lag or buffering. Before purchasing I knew that I wanted a router that I could use as an access point, was easily configurable, wasn't too gimmicky, and that provided stability for wired and wireless connection. The RT-AX52 fits the bill perfectly. As a router there's enough options for configurability for all but the most technically minded of people/tinkerers. For the average user its a pretty accomplished device and it works very well as an access point.Note: I recommend downloading the ASUS Router phone app and configuring the router from there. There are quite a few YouTube videos out there to assist you if you need help.

Frustrating setup then VERY poor WiFi
Connected up and downloaded app as per instructions. All appeared to go well and the app reported all was set up and good to go.Was it heck. BT ONT showing three steady lights and the app was showing internet and wifi OK. Great but would it connect devices to the internet?.....NO!I was a little troubled that at no time was I asked to input Broadband user name and password.Long story short. Some 2-3 hours and several factory resets later, and at one point app told me to go to web interface (this was impossible on a Laptop and having no ethernet to USB C adapter).....More factory resets and eventually when confirming PPoe I finally got the chance to enter the broadband user and Password........Bingo All working!I was a happy bunny even if somewhat fed up.Now the deal breaker. I was looking forward to the great WiFi reported by many users and reviews comparing the Asus with BT SH 2 and saying that the Asus was a great improvement.I was really disapointed.BT SH2 330Mbs next to Router Asus75BT SH2 15 ft away 160 Asus 25BT SH Upstairs 50 Asus 12It will be no surprise to the reader as to which router is powering my network and which is awaiting collection by the postie.TP Link (my third) next time

Support
Sorry to say no support from this manufacturer, it is almost impossible to get support. As you need to jump through numerous hoops. Product was fairly easer to setup, had to get support from anywhere else but the manufacturer in the end that is what I had to do to get this unit to run as I wanted item was pricey but dos the job well enough. Delivery was on time fairly well packaged. Signal strength just scrapes through after several attempts mains not long enough. For my needs ideally. Firmware was an issue but after a few attempts got it to work. If I could do things over again I would choose a different manufacturer in my case.
