TSA Luggage Locks (4Pack) - 3 Digit Combination Padlocks - Approved Travel Lock for Suitcases & Baggage (Dark Blue)

These were a great buy I'd recommend to anyone who's decided luggage locks are an important part of air travel. I made the mistake of traveling without them once and found someone had tampered with the contents of one of my bags. Fortunately, that was it, everything was there. But after that I knew I wanted quality locks for my suitcases.These are approved by the Transportation Security Administration (which means they can open the lock with a special key to search the bag and then re-lock it), so you're cooperating with Homeland Security if you use them. They also are sturdy, they fit in the locking mechanisms on your luggage zippers and they are a pretty reliable security device, removing any temptation from a transitional handler going through your luggage contents from being able to do so. A serious criminal could probably cut through the lock, but they'd probably have to steal the luggage first.

Locks were received in a small envelope as described in other reviews. Three of the four locks accepted new codes one was broken from the get-go. I am very doubtful that the locks will hold up. Will most likely be returning product for a full refund. Very disappointed that anyone one would sell such a cheap product.

I travel frequently for work and recently decided to start locking my check bags as I lost an item on a recent trip. The lock was exactly as expected. The combo was easy to set and it was TSA compliant should they wish to inspect my bag. It;s survived couple of trips already. The combo can be a little difficult to see in low light for older folks without reading glasses. I'll be giving these to family for Christmas. The different colors available will help to keep everyone's luggage straight when we travel together.

The tunblers have a very high gloss chrome-like finish, and the numbers on them are high-gloss black, and of course, they are very small. As a result, the nubmers are incredibly difficult to read. In low light, they blend in, and in high-intenisity light, the reflection makes them incredibly difficult to read. With my omni-present hey fever symtopms, (i.e.; eyes that water frequently, it is very difficult to get the lighting so that the numbers can be read.

I’m only writing this review to warn my fellow shoppers not to buy these locks. They’re absolute junk. I followed the instructions to set, and the shackle would not go down. I’m stuck with four useless locks. Pay more money for better locks and save yourselves worrying about your luggage while it’s not in your control.

Works great for checked and hotel stored luggage. Small so they are not clumbersome but fit perfectly on a large suitcase. Love the fact they have an indicator letting you know if your bag was opened and are not easy to be picked!! Color was as pictured. Would recommend.

I purchased these TSA approved combination locks so I could lock a handgun carrying case. When I re-set the combination per the instructions provided, it worked fairly easily. But, at one point while turning the locking pin (to re-set the combination) it felt as if I might be forcing the pin and doing something wrong. But the combination re-set so I evidently did it correctly. The worst feature is that the numbers are simply pressed into the surface without contrasting color. So reading the numbers is most difficult.

3 out of 4 of the locks worked when we set our own code - 1 of them locked on us and we could never open it again. This was not good because we need all 4.
