This adorable backpack set is even better in person than it is in the listing photos. The fabric is durable polyester and seems really sturdy so it should hold up well to the rigors of school life. It is water resistant too. The purple main color is beautiful and vibrant, and pairs very well with the cute pastel plaid accent fabric. It is lined with a lovely pink for a bit of contrast. There are so many pockets and compartments in this backpack to keep everything organized. The padded laptop compartment holds up to a 15.6” device, and there is also an ample main compartment big enough for the lunchbox, notebooks and school supplies. The outside has 2 water bottle / umbrella pockets - one on each side, and even has a strap at the top to hold it securely. Additionally there is a large zippered pocket on the front, and a padded flap pocket for easy access to a sweater, etc. There are also 2 smaller zippered pockets that should easily hold a cell phone if needed. There is another pocket on the front that has a buckle closure and the cutest little bow accent. The designer seems to have thought of everything. The back is breathable and cushiony so it is more comfortable to carry, and the well padded, wide shoulder straps help with that too. The lunchbox is well insulated and lined with silver foil like material to keep the food at a safe temperature until lunchtime. It has a mesh pocket under the top, and a zippered pocket on the outside for silverware, etc. They even included a well sized pencil case with a strap in this set. All the zippers have cute heavy duty zipper pulls and they all work beautifully without sticking or jamming. This backpack would work well for most elementary school girls, and isn’t too babyish even for middle school. Get approval from your middle schooler first, though, because of course they know everything and you know nothing. I love this backpack set!

This is an adorable backpack. I love the plaid accents. The straps are nice and cushy on the shoulders so she is comfortable while wearing it.  It has plenty of room for all of this child’s stuff. And she brings lots of stuff. It has great side pockets that fit water bottles and are easily accessible while wearing it. The zippers glide nicely and the teeth are strong and there isn’t a lot of excess fabric to catch in the zipper.  The pencil bag and lunch box are large and offer plenty of room for lots of food and most of her classroom supplies.
