We bought this for our 8 year old son for Christmas as he asked for a Lego set and has shown an interest in space recently. It is marketed for age 10+ which I think is pretty accurate, he could have probably managed to build it on his own but it was a fun thing for him and his dad to build together. We’re very impressed with the quality and functionality of it. When you turn a handle the moon revolves around the earth and the earth around the sun. There are stickers for the months and to show whether we see a full moon, half moon etc. which is a really nice detail. It’s a little bigger than I was expecting but still small enough to sit on a shelf. It’s nice and sturdy once built and has feet to stop it sliding around. As far as Lego sets go I think it was a pretty reasonable price. I’d definitely recommend this set to others!

Excellent little Lego kit, educational (up to a point) and fun to make over Christmas with a few glasses of pro and movies on in the background. If you like Lego, this is easy to assemble, but enough of a challenge to make it interesting. Once built, crank the handle to see a representation of orbits. Also marvel at how everyone and everything would fly off the planet if you were God.

One of the best STEM kits from Lego in my opinion. My then tween son enjoyed the complex build. The kit with it's many interlinked moving parts does not tolerate missteps, as my son only found out only on completion. To his credit he diagnosed the problem, stripped it down and rectified the mistake. It is the only non-Star Wars Lego kit to take a pride of place in his room to this day.

This is a really great set for Lego/space enthusiasts. Quite a good challenge for intermediate Lego builders and an outcome that is fun to use and to show others. Big hit with our son.

A very well put together kit, decently sized, fit's just right on a shelf when I'm not disassembling/reassembling it for fun. Definitely requires some skill in putting together, a few mistakes were made that took a while to correct, but it's view on my shelf is worth it.

A wonderful set to put together, spent three hours putting it together on a Sunday morning, money and time well spent.

My husband absolutely loved this for his birthday. He enjoyed building it as well as using this model to teach the children of the earth and moons journey around the sun.

I found it an interesting build with all the mechanisms involved and easy enough to want to keep building. Highly recommended as a gift!

Fantastic and fun building process
