Relatively quiet, helps let you know the temp at a Glance
I got this not because i needed a cooling solution for my data rack, but more because i wanted to look nice, fill a space (once the data rack was done) and be practical too. Delivery was in a nice glossy box with the Cloudplate snuggly fitted in, box had all the necessary accessories needed for installation which included a temp probe and power cable. Installation was a breeze (pun intended) whilst banging out tunes to Guru Josh' Infinity. I didn't use the supplied cage nuts as those things are a pain to use, instead I used RackStuds as a better alternative. All in all, aethetically this Cloud plate is very pleasing and looks the part in any Data Rack. I plan to expand upon it by adding more fans to the roof of the rack controlled by the Cloudplate.

My rack is in a closed door closet, could still hear the high pitched whine from the outside with the door closed. Unacceptable for anyone for anyone that cares about noise levels.

Il est indiqué de 10 à 36db sur le descriptif du produit. En réalité, on en est très loin. Je n'ai pas de quoi mesurer les décibels mais on doit plutôt être de l'ordre de 30 à 50db. Pas utilisable dans une salle non dédiée.

Used in an Omnimount av rack to keep the AVR cool. Easy to setup (set the temperature buffer and max fan speed) and the smart mode is perfect. Runs fans in low/quiet to maintain and responds to temperature increases as needed by turning up the fans. We had previously been using a WILLHI WH1436A Temperature Controller to operate the pre-installed fans in the Omnimount rack - but they only run at 1 speed and are seriously loud. The AC Infinity Cloudplate keeps the AVR cool, runs itself and is quiet. For AV racks, these fans are sensational.

Hemos tenido que montar un rack de comunicaciones en una consulta de una clínica veterinaria, y nuestro mayor miedo era que el sistema de ventilación fuera molesto, ya que es un sitio de trabajo habitual donde no nos interesa que los pacientes se estresen. Vimos este sistema de ventilación variable para racks (modula en 6 velocidades la ventilación en función de la demanda), y nuestra elección fue la de un sistema de placa de inyección de aire de 2U inferior en combinación con un sistema de expulsión de dos ventiladores instalados en la parte superior del rack de la misma marca, que también se adaptan en velocidad a la que ordena el módulo principal de inyección (se comunican por cable suministrado). Nuestras expectativas sonoras tras ponerlo en marcha han sido peores de las reales, ya que es muy pero que muy silencioso. Apenas emite un murmullo y de la velocidad 1 no suele sobrepasarse en modo SMART (configurado a 35ºC y disparándose a los 28ºC). La calidad es muy alta, el acabado y el diseño son muy elegantes, y la configuración y manejo sencillas e intuitivas. El único "pero" que le ponemos, es que aunque soporta voltajes de 220V, viene con un enchufe de tipo americano y requiere adaptador para poderlo enchufar (no suministrado). Muy recomendable si necesitais ventilar un rack en un espacio silencioso.

High quality thermal cooling in our new Home network rack system. Fans are well designed, offer good airflow, and added to the look and serviceability of our rack. Fans are well finished, heavy gauge and very presentable. Almost a shame to lock them behind a wire front cabinet in a server room. Sound levels are well within norms for this application. Displays are easy to read and very intuitive. Highly recommend for use.
