Best video calling for seniors
My mother has severe alzheimers. Unable to do daily tasks and answering a phone is very hard.i searched Google for hands free video calling for seniors.. and the view clix came up. It's the best thing we bought for her. It has many features, pictures, notes, weather, and video chat..I use this many times a day to call when when I'm not there with her. It makes her feel better to see me and talk with me. And it's not confusing.. when I hang up , it goes back to her photos. I tell everyone about this..

Easy to set up and use to provide total peace of mind
I bought this for my Mom when she went into assited living. Worth every penny! It was so great for my family to be able to check on her and talk to her whenever we wanted, or talk to her caregivers. My Mom got to the point where she could not use her phone anymore so she did not have to figure out how to answer or place a call. If she was sleeping or busy we just said hello and hung up. It was easy to set up and invite people, and especially easy to add pictures to the continuous slide show. Total game changer in her care.

What a Fabulous Way to Talk with Mom and to share photos!
A truly worthy purchase for my elderly mom! She is 88 and lives states away from me, and my siblings who live near her occasionally use it with her to talk with me from afar. She loves the non-stop array of photos it displays and I upload more on a regular basis to keep it interesting for her. It has come in very handy, also, as a means to check in on her on the rare but worrying occasion when she fails to answer her phone. Wifi connectivity has been great, no issues, excellent speed of video, and I would say a truly worth it value for money. Bravo!

Works really good with elderly father with dementia
This product is very good for my elderly father who has dementia and is in a memory care facility. It allows him to stay connected to the family both via the pics, videos and live chat. There are still a few things that could make the product 5 stars like: 1) have an easier access to the request screen to have someone call, 2) allow you to order the people on the request screen (maybe AI that aligns the ones not called frequently to the top), 3) the caller have the ability to turn off camera. Overall, though, great product for my father with dementia as it allows the family that live remotely to stay in contact! Would recommend the purchase.

The ViewClix Experience
I got the ViewClix for my mama & daddy. Now they will be able to talk & see their grandchildren & great-granchildren in FL & CA that they don't get to see but once in a great while. They love looking at all the pictures of family as well❤️

Use it frequently and post a lot of pictures.
Works most of the time. Random dropouts or non-connects periodically. Volume can be a challenge for the hard of hearing too.

Great photo frame for seniors or anyone
I bought my first one 4 years ago for my father who went into care home with dementia. At the time we couldn’t visit due to Covid. The ViewClix frame was great since we could set up daily video chats. The calls are activate from our end so dad didn’t have to do anything other than be present for the call. He also really enjoyed the continual picture slideshow that we could control online without accessing the frame (again no action required from him). He would sit for hours watching the pictures and reading the captions. Now when we visit it is easy to get him talking about the pictures he is seeing. It is easy for family to add and label photos through the phone app as well as make video calls. His frame is still going strong after 4 years. I purchased another ViewClix frame to use myself. All the features that make it easy to control/upload for my dad works for me too. It is nice having it turn on/off per a schedule. My only experience has been using the basic functions without the extra paid subscription they offer.

This item is fabulous! I installed it for my aunt in a care home. She has no awareness of technology, no mobile phone etc so this enables the family to send her pictures and videos which slowly build up into a large scrolling album. Set up and config is easy and photos are uploaded from each person's mobile via the app, which is again very easy to use. We are all very pleased with this.

My elderly mother is never been able to use any technology at all and this is fantastic. My extended family and I upload photos to it remotely and my mother has to only push one button in order to engage in FaceTime calls

I got my Mom a viewclix 3years ago. It has been great to be able to see her when I can't get over to visit her. However, I have been frustrated by the audio fail. She is now 89 years old and wears hearing aids. The only way I have been able to talk with her is when I phone her. I bought a dumb phone that is extra loud for seniors. It works great when it is charged by the care home staff and/or her hearing aids are also charged and in her ears. I have tried small speakers plugged into the 3.5mm outlet but they didn't work for her in her small room. Most related tech is now blue tooth and usb so converting the sound signal to pair up with her hearing aids is challenging and so far unsuccessful. My Mom has tubs full of pictures so I bought a scanner and have uploaded many for her to view which is good for her memory. I really feel unsupported by ViewClix in this important side of the communication equation. It seems to me that they should have options that work. Honestly, I have loved being able to initiate a video call with my Mom as there are many times I have no other way to contact her. But her arm gets tired of holding up the phone when she even remembers how to answer the phone that hangs around her neck. My most recent attempt of converting the 3.5mm volume from the ViewClix to a bluetooth signal paired to her hearing aids has been a fail because when she leaves her room the pairing doesn't restart when she comes back to her room. If I get a tv controller connected to her ViewClix I will be able to set the volume once but that doesn't always work for other people who get frustrated trying to connect with her. Even family members don't call because they have no sound control and full volume on the ViewClix isn't solving the problem. The result is that she is lonely b/c no one tries to call anymore. I gave a three out of five rating b/c there is tremendous potential in this equipment but it fails in the audio department for people like my Mom who, as many who reach her age do, have hearing issues.
