Solid as a Rock – A Must-Have for Windy Weather!
I purchased a 15ft by 7ft plastic greenhouse with an aluminum frame about a year ago, and living on the outskirts of Atlanta, we get our fair share of heavy wind storms and even tornado warnings. I used four of these 18’’ ground anchors with metal zip ties to secure the structure, and I’ve got to say—they have not let me down. They’ve kept my greenhouse grounded through it all. The anchors are super easy to install—just attach a drill and they drive right into the ground (unless you hit a rock!). Definitely recommend these for anyone needing serious outdoor security. Must-buy!

Held our canopy down during thrunderstorm
These worked fairly well for our party in the back yard, holding the canopies down as the thunderstorm rolled through. The hold down strength (and ease of install) is totally dependent on your soil condition. In our clay and heavy grass it was pretty good. The biggest issue we had was some of the heads would not fit in the socket because they were messy with too much coating and drips.

METAL QUALITY IS SO CHEAP THAT THIS IS A ONE TIME USE ANCHOR
Don't try to reposition these anchors. The metal is soft and cannot handle being repositioned because the points of the metal wear off after one drilling and removal.I tried drilling it in another position and it took pressure in soft soil to push it in 1/3 of the way in but it was already stripped. I could not reverse it and had to shovel it out.The other 3 when in OK because they did not have to be repositioned. So now I bought the set of 4 and only 3 worked. It would be nice if the seller replaced the damaged one at the very least, so I do not have to get a whole new set. These are a one season use product. BE WARNED!
