Product description Lepicol is a three-in-one combination of gentle psyllium husk fibre supplement, live bacterial cultures and inulin. The main fibre source within Lepicol is psyllium husk (Plantago ovata). Psyllium husks are a great fibre supplement as it is able to normalise stool size by being water retentive and, at the same time, forms a soft gel which eases the stool along the lower digestive tract ready for evacuation. Psyllium husks have the advantage of being much gentler than some common fibre supplements (such as wheat or bran), many of which could irritate a sensitive bowel. Lepicol contains five strains of live bacteria. Your digestive tract is home to trillions of gut bacteria that aid in digestion, help prevent a pathogenic bacteria over-growth and have an impact on your immune system. Keeping a balanced gut microflora helps to ensure that the environment in your digestive tract is stable and goes a long way to aid in your health and well-being. Inulin is a fibre that is sourced from chicory root. Inulin is not broken down by the body, it is fermented by the live bacteria in the gut to support the growth of live bacteria. Very good product for IBS!
I love these! The mixture of psyllium husk and inulin together with live bacteria are just great for anyone who suffers from IBS , either IBS C or D.They really help when you have diarrhea as the fibre soaks up excess water and bulks up the bowel contents, but they are also a good source of daily fibre for constipation. Always take plenty water with the capsules. Would never be without them!

The product does exactly what it says-highly effective. My wife needed something to relieve her bowel symptoms and this product does exactly that.
