My favorite little contraption thus far! My kids have specified phone times so when their time is up for the day, they put their phone inside of the case. You can set the number of days, hours and minutes that you want the case to stay locked and it works wonderfully! I had to emergency unlock it one time and I absolutely love how you have to go online and get a code then enter it into the box in order to unlock it. Pressing some buttons on the box would be too easy for my kids to figure out. They can charge their phones through a small hole in the side that fits all 3 charging cords and when that case locks, it’s not coming back open until the time is up! The price was worth it and it’s very well made. The only thing that I wish was different would be if I could set the time that the box should open up instead of having to do the math for how many hours it would be until the box is allowed to unlock.

Anyone complaining fails to understand how great it is that you must pay to unlock it. That incentivizes you to not give in, or else you must pay. How is that not a plus!?!? If anything, this is a perfect strategy for keeping addictions in check. Also, anyone complaining about their medications DID NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS that specifically say not to do that. 10/10 product.

Nice quality, doesn't feel cheap. No way to easily bypass which is crucial! Can't be pried open easily either. Obviously if you really tried you could get in, but not without destroying the box or calling for emergency bypass. I like that there is the emergency bypass option, however, since I am using it for medication. I tried it out, it works great. First time is free and the $30 a pop, so not something you're going to be taking advantage of on a whim! I do not like the windows on top to see inside. But they can be easily covered from the inside, if you want. I also wish there was a way to turn off the beeping, no need to announce it to the world that it's unlocked! Other than that it's perfect for what I needed, easy to use and simple to set up. I also like that it saves multiple previous times for use later if you often use the same time frame (ie 24 hours, 12 hours, etc). Update- the batteries are really hard to get out! They keep showing as empty when I use rechargeable (Amazon brand) batteries, I'm not sure why (I made sure they were charged). So I used regular batteries and it worked fine. I don't know if it's just saying the batteries are dead (the screen turns on but shows empty battery) or it is just incompatible, I didn't want to test it out.

if i could give zero stars i would. this vaydeer lock box looked to be exactly what i needed, very excited to get it. put in the batteries, testing it out to see how it works and whatnot i wanted to test the emergency unlock function, and it worked! pleasantly surprised. but, a few days later, i had a family emergency, for which i needed my phone. it was in my lockbox and there were about 4 hours left, and i needed it now for an emergency. i tried to do the emergency unlock again. everything went smoothly so far, got the code and whatnot. then, after i entered that information, it took me to a checkout screen. as it turns out! they charge you $19.99 to utilize the emergency unlock service. no where in the listing of this product does it clearly disclose that you essentially need to pay any time you need an emergency unlock. i will never buy another vaydeer product until this issue is resolved. there is no need for this. if you truly care about your customers, you will make this change.

I bought this to hold car keys overnight. Holds 3 sets with key chains with room to spare, it matches the dimensions in the listing. Directions leave a little bit to be desired, but not too difficult for the majority of people. One feature I didn't see in the description is that it remembers the time period most recently used. After the first night (8 hour locked period) all I've had to do is push 3 buttons once each. I have not looked at the emergency override function, I'm deliberately avoiding it because the keys are locked up because of Ambien. The box is sturdy and would take a little bit to break into, but a hammer and no care for having it function afterwards would work in a pinch.

Amazing product and good company. The only complaint I have is the hole on the side used to charge a phone. I stored money in the box and could take some out through the hole. But as a college student with ADHD, I can also store my phone in here. It helps me stay focused. One time, I had to open it, and I was struggling to unlock it. I called the company. They told me to break it, and they were kind enough to send me a new one. I would highly recommend this

Update! It was 4 stars but think I need to dock it another star. The electronic timer is great. The build quality is great. My original gripe, which is why I docked it one star, is that the digital display is hard to read. It needs a light/backlight of some kind. I do wish that the device had an internal battery that could be charged with the provided cable but that's not nearly the frustration as being unable to read the display. I've read some reviews complaining about the little hole for running a USB cable into the box for charging phones or whatever. If you have anything small enough to fish out of there, just put the small thing in a ring box or something bigger. Never everything needs to be rolling around like marbles. ALSO: That display is super soft. There was a mark on mine that I assumed was a fleck of dirt or something. I tried to rub it off and it's totally scratched and even more difficult to read than before. No backlight and a scratched hours field. Bummer. Great box but be very careful, maybe cover the display with some tape. Maybe a future model can rectify both of these issues by replacing that one component.

Excellent if you, like me, have no self control when it's time to study! Really helps to have my phone somewhere where I can't see it too. Simple to set up, and the safety net of two power sources a code if I desperately need to get in is good. Quality feels good, and its padded inside so I know my phone is safe even if i move it around

Brilliant!!! Fits my mac air 13 inch if you slot it in diagonally + my large Ipad and phone! Simple interface, satisfying build and design, all round great product, well thought out. Tried apps before but you can always bypass them. With this, I'd have to break the box to access it, which won't happen. Must have for tech free time in this modern world!

Good quality product and work as expected

This is an excellent tool. If you have something in your home you cannot resist, then simply put it in this box and lock it away for a set period. As soon as it locks, your mind will stop negotiating and you are forced to wait.

What they don’t tell you is they charge money if you want to unlock the box early. How much? You don’t know until they tell you.
