Misbehaved [Rose, Charleigh] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Misbehaved Review: LOOOOOVED!!!!! - Before I begin my review, I'd like to say thank you to Charleigh Rose. I know everyone would love to have the chance to read your books before they come out, and I'm just happy I was one of the lucky ones! You ladies rock! So, I knew from the blurb I was going to love this book, but as mentioned above, I sort of had a pre-conceived notion that I would. Remi and James' story had everything! Their story together, as well as their individual stories. Once you get into it, you definitely see that Remi is not your average teenage girl. She was raised in a rough environment by her father and pseudo-brother, and everything was far from peaches and cream. Her dad was barely there, since he seemed to be working every hour of the day, and her "brother" Ryan was weirdly obsessed with her. What I loved most about her was the fact that even though she didn't have the best of upbringings, she did not let it define her. The girl was resilient, bad ass and she took no crap—from anybody. All it took was one encounter with the forbidden for her composure to crack. That leads us into all that is Pierce James—swoon for the name alone. Mr. James had to be one of the sexiest teachers I've read about. I mean, if he were my teacher, I definitely would've taken up debate. He had his own demons to bare and the last thing he should've been worried about was his hot as hell teenage student. But boy oh boy was he. After their first encounter the tension is palpable. As their story progresses, the back and forth banter was fun and kind of sexy. I loved that once Pierce admitted his feelings to not only himself, but also to Remi, things seemed to get hotter between them—didn't even know that was possible. And you can't help but root for them, because they overcome so much in their individual lives, that you want them to have everything together. They helped each other find each other, if that makes sense. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, they could have succumb to things going wrong in their lives, but they chose to beat the negative and find the positive, and it just so happen to be each other. This was a really fun story to read, because it's supposed to be seen as taboo. I just thought it was unbelievably hot. It had it's "what the F***!" moments, it's sad moments and it's overjoyed moments. Overall, I'd say this is a MUST read. So make sure to BUY THIS BOOK and let greatness happen to you! Review: Mutual taboo student teacher romance - Student teacher romance with more angst and secrets all taking place in a private school in Nevada (Vegas) Remington is a girl living in Vegas from the wrong side of the tracks. She's smart, attractive and has been dealt a crappy hand in life. She lives with her dad who's never around and her step brother who's not so much her step brother anymore and kind of creepy. He has made Remi HIS and he thinks he owns her. But when Remi starts her new school her senior year, she's hoping this is her way out. She's always wanted to get away from "home" and become something. There she meets her debate teacher, Mr Pierce James and he's one hard teacher. He pushes his students and doesn't take any crap. And on day one, he sends his new student to the principal's office for her shoe wear. You're at a private school and you must act and dress accordingly, apparently. Both of the characters have secrets and things they are trying to hide from everyone around them. Unfortunately Remi can't do such a good job of one of her secrets. Her "brother". He's always around and trying to hurt Remi in any way he can. Although there is a love there that transcends his more evil ways. He's more emotionally abusive than anything, but when things start getting physical, that's when Mr James steps in. And he can't deny their chemistry. "She's an innocent wrapped in a body made up of every sin I've ever wanted to commit. A good girl with bad intentions." Although I did enjoy the taboo story, I was hoping for more 'proof' of Remi's academic prowess. It was stated she got in to the private school with her top grades and I never got that from her. She seemed more to be the pretty girl that was there to entice men and push their buttons. Nothing wrong with that, just make the story go accordingly. "I will misbehave until I break him." The story WAS taboo and it had characters that made the plot line work with twists and connections. But the love story was just that. Two broke souls looking to reach out and they connected. Pierce and Remi connected on another level. I didn't look at them as a student and teacher. There was something more visceral going on. Sometimes age doesn't matter and sometimes love isn't always black and white. THAT was this story. Secret, lies, and looking for answers to things you lost. Not perfect but the story worked for these characters. "There is no right or wrong in this world. No black and white. Remington and I live in the gray area. Logic is pointless. Gut feeling is dangerous. The only way to know whether you did the right or wrong thing is to ride it out and see it to the end."

Good/So-So read….
There are a lot of things going for this book. For one Mr. James taught speech and debate - which is almost unheard of in these books. The teacher is almost always a creative writing/English teacher. Then the teacher is usually a softie or nerdy. So the fact that James had a background in law and was broody worked well. It was a unique spin on things. Remi was tough and I liked that too. I didn’t like all the cheesy porn moments though. At first I didn’t really get the relationship because it all seemed like lust and not just lust but weird force yourself on someone kind of connection. I found Ryan’s character- he was different then what the typical “villain” is. He had layers and it added an interesting spin on the typical storyline. It grossed me out that he was probably supporting an STD and yet acted possessive over Remi. I’m not sure he even knew what kind of love he had for her. The sub-storylines where good too. Overall it wasn’t bad and held my interest. It was just to porn-like for my preference

Unlike all the other age-gap romances I've read recently, this one is not abnormal in the sense that the teenager actually acts like a moody teenager and the adult acts like a sane, somewhat rational and composed adult as is expected of him. Though, he behaved like a lovesick fool towards the end but I didn't mind that so much. Another pro: the flow of the story was smooth and crucial parts were expertly done. The only con I could see was that the moments leading to the big collision were so intense that the collision itself felt like a big letdown. The frustration, the angst, the pining, the forbidden, all the holding back, so much build-up that the actual destination felt like a poor mockery of it. The three men in her life as she puts it are all untrustworthy and it's tragic that their bad almost outweighs their good. And that's the real struggle, to decide if they're redeemable in the end or not. The Dad is mostly an absentee, cares for and loves her but not enough to believe her over his son. The stepbrother loves her but not enough not to hurt her, physically or otherwise. Grew up taking care of her but also lies and cheats. The boyfriend also loves her but hides things from her. He was also dismissive and hateful towards her in the beginning. So, the lines here are seriously blurred and her stubbornness makes things only worse. To sum it all up, I'd say I'm not the least bit disappointed, little bit happy and a lot energized after a stress-free read.

Charleigh Rose nailed this book. It was a perfect blend of romance and forbidden and angst and passion all wrapped up to create a killer book. Mr. James is one of my top boyfriends now and I'm claiming him! Remington was such a lovable, relatable heroine that you wanted to cheer on and felt for from the very first page. Buy the book, let it consume you. You won't regret it! I can't wait to read their next new release!

I love the dynamic and dirty duo Charleigh Rose. They're my go to for hot, heavy and quick, but Misbehaved is something a little different. You see Misbehaved is the first full length book from this pair and ohhhh ma gawd it was worth the wait. Misbehaved is so much more than your typical teacher student romance, it is steamy, filthy and has just that hint of knight in shining armour that makes our knees buckle. Remington Stringer is sassy, independent and unafraid of anything except losing her anchor and the one person who has always been there for her, her step-brother Ryan. But their relationship is changing, evolving in a way that Remi can’t control and that frightens her. Remi gets offered a way out, a chance to give herself a shot at a future she’d only dreamed of before when she’s offered a place at a prestigious private school. Her plan is to keep her head down, survive the snobby academy and get out of Vegas but then she meets Mr James and things change. Remi can no longer deny that her life is falling apart, that things are spinning out of her control. And as for Mr James, he’s stubborn, aloof and ever so sexy. There’s this amazing chemistry between them and I FLOVE them together. This is a book full of sexiness, complicated taboo relationships and adult themes. It’s well executed and sucks you in so fast that you’re almost half way through before you’ve even looked up. I will be buying this in paperback, that’s how much I love this book. Well done ladies, it’s another 5 stars from us!

When I first picked up this story to read I was expecting a typical student/teacher romance based around their interactions at school. Maybe some stolen moments in the class room or maybe some moments behind the office buildings away from prying eyes. But what I got was so much better than that. It has twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I absolutely loved this Forbidden romance. Pierce and Remington have some hot chemistry happening in this book. Remington may be 18 but she is wise beyond her years, so the age difference between them didn’t seem like a problem to me. I really liked the secondary characters in this story as well. I would really love to see a Christian and Benton story, that would make me all kinds of happy! The storyline was raw and emotional. I felt so bad for Ryan, he just needed to find his way. I got caught up in so much emotion in this story, I teared up a couple of times before the book was finished. It had a nice balance of emotion. This book is captivating, intriguing, and has a little angst, and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to read more from Charleigh Rose!

I read this in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down if I tried. The storyline, the banter, the slow burn are all good. If you’re after a good read and this is one of your niches, then get it downloaded and added to your TBR.
